I had been a little away from interacting with my friends and communities for many days, I was without internet service for more than half a month and yesterday finally with my return signal I started to check the communities where I always participate and I found this wonderful contest . Some friends had already told me but it was impossible for me to review and realize what it was about. Now that I was able to see the context well and calmly read their entries, it made me nostalgic and sad not to have been able to participate because I had already closed the contest a few days ago.

Hola, muy buenos días a todos los amantes de la lectura y de las buenas bibliografías, y a la gente bella de esta comunidad. Llevaba muchos días un poco apartada de la interacción con mis amigos y las comunidades, estuve sin servicio de internet por más de medio mes y ayer por fin con mi señal de retorno me puse a revisar las comunidades donde siempre participo y me encontré este concurso maravilloso. Ya algunos amigos me habían comentado pero se me hizo imposible revisar y darme cuenta de qué trataba. Ahora que pude ver bien el contexto y leer con calma sus participaciones, me dio nostalgia y tristeza no haber podido participar porque ya había cerrado el concurso hace unos días.

I want to publish my participation outside of the contest, as one more post every day, because there is nothing that makes me feel more proud of my treasures and belongings than the books that I have accumulated with so much effort and sacrifice throughout my life. life as a reader, student and professional.

Quiero publicar mi participación ya fuera de concurso, como un post más de cada día, porque no hay nada que me haga sentir más orgullosa dentro de mis tesoros y pertenencias, que los libros que con tanto esfuerzo y sacrificio he acumulado a lo largo de mi vida como lectora, estudiante y profesional.

After the move it happened to me that there were more books than places to put them, since I still kept some bibliographies in boxes without removing their covers. My children's study books, mine from the university, and those I bought for work also accumulated.

Después de la mudanza me pasó que había más libros que lugares donde colocarlos, ya que aún conservaba en cajas algunas bibliografías sin sacar de sus forros. También se fueron acumulando los libros de estudio de mis hijos, los míos de la universidad, y los que adquiría para trabajar.

A few weeks ago I dedicated myself to reviewing the primary school books that I kept for the pedagogical orientation workshop, and I tell you that there were so many that we filled three boxes. I kept a couple from each grade; one for reading and one for subjects… I donated the others to a rural school in the area where one of my great friends works, a practicing teacher, and she selected some for the campus and the others were used to hold a Book Fair where they were sold at solidarity prices and the funds raised were used to make improvements in some classrooms on campus that needed it urgently.

Hace unas semanas me dediqué a revisar los libros de primaria que conservaba para el taller de orientación pedagógica, y les cuento que eran tantos que llenamos tres cajas. Yo me quedé con un par de cada grado; uno de lectura y uno de materias… los demás los doné a una escuela rural de la zona donde trabaja una de mis grandes amigas, profesora también en ejercicio, y ella seleccionó algunos para el plantel y los demás los usaron para realizar una Feria del Libro donde los vendieron a precios solidarios y los fondos recaudados se utilizaron para hacer mejoras en algunas aulas del plantel que lo necesitaban con urgencia.

Now it's the turn of the high school books, which are also a lot but I need to coordinate with another colleague from the third stage so that they reach kids in these grades who are in need of them. In this way the books will fulfill their teaching function, and will have a better use than being stored in boxes in a dark warehouse.

Ahora le toca el turno a los libros de secundaria que son muchísimos también pero que necesito coordinar con alguna otra colega de la tercera etapa para que lleguen a chicos de estos grados que los estén necesitando. De esa manera los libros cumplirán con su función de enseñanza, y tendrán un mejor uso que estar guardados en cajas dentro de un oscuro depósito.

I will now tell you about my library, one of the most sacred corners of my home. As you can see, it occupies an entire wall, it is a corner of wisdom and one of the most relevant places for all the members of my family, since there are texts that have passed through the hands of all of us and have been given to them. transcendental use throughout our culture and learning. I have a little stool next to it because sometimes it annoys me to look for a book leaning or crouching, so sitting down is more comfortable and I check more calmly. On it there is a pink candle with a strawberry scent and some photos of my loves, my children, my eldest granddaughter and my spoiled brother, on one side; and on the other side, some trophies and medals from my daughter @rosamariapegadoo in Running competitions.

Les hablaré ahora de mi biblioteca, uno de los rincones más sagrados de mi hogar. Como pueden ver, ella ocupa toda una pared, es un rincón de sabiduría y uno de los sitios con mayor relevancia para todos los miembros de mi familia, ya que allí reposan textos que han pasado por las manos de todos nosotros y se les ha dado un uso trascendental a lo largo de nuestra cultura y aprendizaje. Al lado tengo un banquito porque a veces me fastidia buscar un libro inclinada o agachada, así que sentadita es más cómo y reviso con más tranquilidad. Sobre ella se encuentran un velón rosado con olor a fresa y algunas fotos de mis amores, mis hijos, mi nieta mayor y mi hermano consentido, de un lado; y del otro lado, algunos trofeos y medallas de mi hija @rosamariapegadoo en competencias de Running.

Apart from the large bookcase, I have a small bookcase in my room where I keep the books that I am selecting to read, and the ones that I am still reading so that I have them at hand when I spend a little time reading.

MY FAVORITE BOOK

It is difficult for me to say which is my favorite book within this repertoire of texts, but I can say which are the ones that I like the most.

MI LIBRO FAVORITO

Para mí es difícil decir cuál es mi libro favorito dentro de este repertorio de textos, pero puedo decir cuáles son los que más me gustan de allí.

My favorite book inside and outside my library will always be The Little Prince, since this text has completed an important trajectory in my evolution as a person, mother and professional. The first time I read it was when I was a teenager in high school for an analysis of Spanish but I did not delve into it. Then my husband and I bought one for the house since we both felt the same taste for this text, then it passed into the hands of my eldest son for his high school studies, and the last one I got was for my work at school.

Mi libro favorito dentro y fuera de mi biblioteca siempre será El Principito, ya que este texto ha cumplido con una importante trayectoria en mi evolución como persona, madre y profesional. La primera vez que lo leí fue siendo adolescente en el liceo para un análisis de Castellano pero no profundicé en él. Luego mi esposo y yo compramos uno para la casa ya que ambos sentíamos el mismo gusto por este texto, después pasó a las manos de mi hijo mayor para sus estudios de secundaria, y el último que obtuve fue para mi trabajo en el colegio.

When I was given the responsibility of leading the Spanish and Literature course in secondary school, this was the book I requested to work on the analysis of narrative texts that year, and thus The Little Prince became our work and study partner throughout a whole year. school year. With him we did analysis work, dramatizations, written tests, and many more activities that served to get to know his values ​​and teachings in depth.

Cuando me dieron la responsabilidad de conducir la asignatura Castellano y Literatura de secundaria, éste fue el libro que solicité para trabajar ese año el análisis de textos narrativos, y así El Principito se convirtió en nuestro compañero de trabajo y estudio a lo largo de todo un año escolar. Con él hicimos trabajos de análisis, dramatizaciones, pruebas escritas, y muchas actividades más que sirvieron para conocer a fondo sus valores y enseñanza.

On campus they gave me a reading book where The Little Prince also appeared, and at this moment it is the only one I have because I have no idea where the rest could have been, but they must be in another library that is not mine, hahaha.

En el plantel me suministraron un libro de lectura donde también aparecía El Principito, y en este momento es el único que conservo porque los demás no tengo idea de dónde pudieron quedar, pero deben estar en otra biblioteca que no es la mía, jajaja.

Within its lines I always used to highlight the fragments that I liked the most, being the dedication and this phrase that many know, my favorites.

I love these two encyclopedias that I acquired at the Círculo de Lectores not only because of the interesting content they contain, but also because of the reason that they are illustrated by the fact that it is my favorite comic, Snoopy. One of them is an English-Spanish / Spanish-English dictionary, and the other is an encyclopedia of all kinds of concepts and characteristics of many things in the world.

Estas dos enciclopedias que adquirí en el Círculo de Lectores me encantan no sólo por el contenido tan interesante que poseen, sino por el motivo que las ilustra que es mi cómic favorito, Snoopy. Una de ellas es un diccionario Inglés-Español / Español-Inglés, y la otra es una enciclopedia de todo tipo de conceptos y características de muchas cosas en el mundo.

My older cousin, who was like a mother or a sister to me, gave me a valuable gift that I still have. She was an English teacher, graduated from the Pedagogical School of Caracas, and when I started my studies at the pedagogical school, she told me that no pedagogy student could miss this book in her library; Emile, by Jean-Jacques Rousseau. I confess that I have read it but I have never finished it. We never sat down to discuss its context although I know what it is about, I have been understanding it in its lines. She has already died, a few months ago, and took with her a very valuable source of knowledge. Apart from Emilio, she gave me other bibliographies on linguistics, language, among others.

Mi prima mayor, que era para mí como una madre o una hermana, me hizo un valioso regalo que aún conservo. Ella era profesora de Inglés, egresada del Pedagógico de Caracas, y cuando yo inicié mis estudios en el pedagógico ella me dijo que a ningún estudiante de pedagogía le podía faltar este libro en su biblioteca; Emilio, de Juan Jacobo Rousseau. Les confieso que lo he leído pero jamás lo he finalizado. Nunca nos sentamos a discutir su contexto aunque sé de qué trata, lo he ido entendiendo en sus líneas. Ella ya murió, hace pocos meses, y se llevó con ella una fuente de conocimientos muy valiosa. Aparte del Emilio me regaló otras bibliografías sobre la lingüística, el idioma, entre otros.

Other bibliographies given away include a cookbook from my mother-in-law, a book of selections from my aunt, my grandfather's treasure of youth, and my mother's encyclopedia of trades.

Entre otras bibliografías regaladas se encuentran un libro de recetas de cocina de mi suegra, un libro de selecciones de mi tía, el tesoro de la juventud de mi abuelo, y la enciclopedia de oficios de mi madre.
