River Mill: September 10 2023
It sure is cooling down again now and I was able to sleep properly.
We took the trusted trail passed the campsite and got a fair bit of walking in; there were a fair few people and dogs around. Some of the wood had been raided, sorry "harvested", to make cricket bats!! I wonder what the real bats think about that?
Around lunch time I went to River Mill and regretted not eating there as I felt it later on when we met up in Hitchin for a band rehearsal. After all was I fasting until around that time and totally forgot to eat something before heading out. Have to remember that next time.

There were some Scots people fully dressed in kilts with gaiters and all! Crazy.. haha
I wondered if they were in a band or something.

I’m pleased the heat has dissipated and now the temperatures are way more comfortable. Drove through a lightning storm yesterday on our way home from Northampton.

I've literally come back to life now.. lol
Nope. We were driving and had just come off the M40 when the storm hit. I can still picture it in my mind, it was meters away and struck the road. Was quite scary for a second!
I said to my wife, since we drive an EV, would the battery suddenly get charged to full if we got hit? 😂😂😂

The Scots may have been preparing for their rugby match. My sister and her hubby went to the match in Marseille. Scotland lost.

Forgotten about the Rugby and the pubs up the road were showing it live so that is where they were probably heading to. 👍
I wonder if they ripped off their clothes in anger afterwards.. 🤣
