Paper Mill: September 4 2023
It was a misty start again but it seems to get hotter again every day.
We strolled around the Hyde Park Pub area in the evening were we went for an open mic two weeks ago; the next one is tomorrow.
I tried that little road just by the side of it which was leading to a part of the old paper mill.
It's another building that in all the years I have never really come close to although you can see it well from a distance with its tall tower.
Apparently it's used today as office space and some areas have been converted to appartments. You can read more about the Paine family and their paper mill here as well.

There was a distinct smell of a special type of plant coming out of one of those windows, not the tobacco kind if you get my drift.

The buildings around the square look new but if they are then they were at least created in the style of the historic building which is nice.
On the left of that building you can see that stump from a tree that must have been massive and seems to have lifted up the paving.
Shame really, I don't think there are enough trees generally..

Funny, the paving looks much nicer in the picture; it reality it's actually a teeny bit tatty.
Some more housing just around the corner; these are definitely new but in the style of the rest of the buildings.
It was interesting to finally walk around here!

That's an impressive building. I certainly smelled a lot of 'plant' in the US and Canada, but it is legal where we were.

I really don't know, but I avoid being near smokers and vapers generally. I just kept noticing that smell wherever I went. You get it here too, but less often.
What I did notice when we went to British Columbia was that syrup smell everywhere; well, I think that's what it was. I LOVED it! Crave.. haha
