Open Mics: August 28 2023

We had a long weekend in the UK with the Monday off and there were musical events everywhere, some of the festival kind with camping and such like.

We played at a pub in Orwell in the afternoon which was fun.

Kev asked Steve if he could run the Shefford open mic in the evening, he does that sometimes, passing it to others, as he's always busy and is possibly taking on too much at times.

Steve did a really good job as he's fair with the timing and people play as they arrive so no surprises when you might be up with your set.

It was very busy when we arrived and set up but strangely everybody left just as we started properly, most likely because they all had to go to work the next day.

I took Mia and sang a couple of songs with Steve but didn't play myself but it was nice to meet up with the few guys who were there.
