Ferry Boat: June 18 2023
I'm on holidays this week, so yesterday we went out for a little drive. I looked for water side pubs and thought the Old Ferry Boat in St Ives would be worth a try.
It sure is in a nice setting with lovely houses that lead to it and it was fairly busy, supposedly with locals and people who where mooring by the side of it. Some people where camping there.
The food was ok, but the wait was far too long. We did get warned it would be about 40 minutes, which turned out to be an hour in the end, but I couldn't really see why it would be taking so long other than the staff being young and not well trained.
If the food would have had the wow-factor I wouldn't have minded the wait, but it was fairly average, however, I was starving and that makes all meals delicious.

Not to be confused with the St Ives in Cornwall. Country pubs can be great, but they need to put in the effort.
