Slow Jogging to a Tune

Jogging with Hive Open Mic

I am trying to learn a new song for Hive Open Mic and took it with me this morning.
Its bpm is quite low, but can be power walked. I jogged it instead at a very low pace, but it was tricky to get into the rhythm as my cadence is normally higher, but I figured it would do my knee good to move at a pace just above fast walking speed.

It turned out to be an excellent idea, because I actually managed to run for a fair bit longer than I had intended and so far I'm not screaming in agony! The overall distance was a lot lower than yesterday, Garmin says 2.6k, but as the theory goes, only increase one of the many variables at a time to avoid injury, and it seemed to have worked.
I have just done some stretches in my home office before having some lunch.

Practice, Practice, Practice

Yes, you've guessed it.. apart from work I also spent time preparing for the big day on Sunday.

In fact, there are two big days this weekend:
"Swing 42" will be playing on Saturday as part of @purplesinger's choir event; I'll have to revisit Marilyn Monroe's "I wanna be loved by you" which I sing. It should be fine, but just in case..

One day I might post a version here. Need to get her hair do first.. ehm..
