Floods, HIVE and an Old Friend

I am tidying up some finances and have found some Premium Bonds, doing nothing. I've been meaning to get shot of them for ages, I am not a born winner, so another sum to invest here. The price is good right now and the money better spent here. Happy days!
Meeting up With an Old Friend
We've been meeting up with a friend we haven't seen for over a year, which was lovely. We used to make music together and we're hoping, he'll re-join us soon at our musical adventures.
Subsiding Water
A lovely start to the day, albeit slightly late getting up after last night..
I walked over the footbridge by the church this time finding a big puddle (or lake?); it must have been even bigger yesterday and I dare say there would have been no getting through, unlike this morning.
Our "town walk" normally leads us past those trees there in the back, but not today without wellies, which I haven't got right now.
From the footbridge over a road we ended up in Henbrook Park again.
Here is the spot where Mia had a drink last night, all clear, but very muddy and slightly slippery.
We went for it anyhow hanging on to branches of trees and shrubs where necessary.
Well, me anyway.. haha
A flooded fishing platform beginning to reappear.
This is looking like a river again today.

I shall run tomorrow and check how conditions are, but most places I go are safe from flooding. There are a lot of new houses built in places that could get water coming in. They reduce the drainage with all the new roads.

Yes, concrete and plastic lawns are a pest..
I think they can't built on the St Neots flood plains but sure try their luck from time to time.
But this shows again, that they must be rejected no matter what.
Soon, being tomorrow I suppose.. ;)
