River Side Park to the River Mill

This morning we walked a bit further from the River Side Park to the River Mill in Eaton Socon.

The River Mill used to be a pub, but is now more of a restaurant with a lovely view onto the marina.

They weren't open, obviously, so the next walk will take place some afternoon to fit in a stop for a drink!

When we came through the River Side Park beforehand I was suprised that there was a Parkrun going on, something @steevc will be interested in, I'm sure.

It was news to me that it had one in the first place, but this one seemed to be a special one, as it was on the wrong day, normally on a Saturday, and it was mostly children taking part.
Also, it seems that the standard Parkrun normally takes place nearer the River Mill further South.

Looks nice there. I'm aware of other local parkruns, but getting there on a Saturday morning can be an issue. Some of them do a shorter run for kids on a Sunday.

I hope the nicer weather can stick around for a while.

Ah, that does make sense with the kids, didn't know that!
It sure is a a much shorter route around that bit.
You should still do it some time.. Change of wallpaper.. lol
