Touring of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Madrid, Spain [ENG-SPA]

I was with my boyfriend Jan a few days in Madrid, and we set out to walk, explore and see some places near where the hotel was. The area where we were located is called Concepción, it's a very quiet, residential and removed from the madness of the center. We both looked on google maps and found the beautiful drawing of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, it looked super close and wanted to go there. Jan said there was a museum there, and that we could take the tour.

Before I start telling you about our adventure, I want you to know that I am a sports lover, I grew up in a family of soccer team coaches, everyone in my family plays soccer, including myself, my first sport was soccer and I came to change it when I met Ultimate Frisbee. For years I was a soccer coach in children's categories and also an Ultimate Frisbee coach. My TEG in the University to graduate as an economist is about soccer, the big profits that soccer clubs produce, the leagues (mainly European), so I know a few economic aspects that are related to the income of the clubs, my perception is focused on seeing it as an industry.

We walked from the hotel, an hour's walk. A wonderful tour through the streets of madrid, no stress, with all the time in the world to enjoy the parks, buildings, structures. The weather was wonderful, so walking was not at all convenient. On our walk, we saw a park full of puppies and decided to cross the street and enjoy the energy of this place for a few minutes, it is called Berlin Park.
We continued on our way and finally arrived at the Bernabeu Stadium.

Estuve con mi novio Jan algunos días en Madrid, y nos propusimos caminar, explorar y conocer algunos lugares cercanos a donde estaba el hotel. La zona en la que estabamos ubicados se llama Concepción, es un lugar muy tranquilo, residencial y retirado de la locura del centro. Ambos buscamos en google maps y encontramos el hermoso dibujo del Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, se veía super cerca y quería irmos. Jan dijo ahí había un museo, y que podríamos hacer el recorrido.

Antes de empezar a contarles de nuestra aventura, quiero que sepan que yo soy una amante del deporte, yo crecí en una familia de entrenadores de equipos de fútbol, todos en mi familia juegan fútbol, incluso yo misma, mi primer deporte fue este y lo vine a cambiar cuando conocí el Ultimate Frisbee. Por años estuve como entrenadora de fútbol en categorías infantiles y también entrenadora de Ultimate Frisbee. Mi TEG en la Universidad para graduarme de economista es acerca del fútbol, de las grandes ganancias que producen los Clubes de fútbol, de las ligas (principalmente las europeas), por tanto conozco algunos pocos aspectos económicos que están relacionados con los ingresos de los clubes, mi percepción está enfocada en ver como una industria.

Fuimos caminando desde el hotel, una hora de camino. Un maravilloso recorrido por las calles de madrid, sin estrés, con todo el tiempo del mundo para disfrutar de los parques, edificios, estructuras. El clima era maravilloso, así que ir caminando no fue para nada conveniente. En nuestra caminata, vimos un parque full de perritos y decidimos cruzar la calle y disfrutar de la energía de este lugar por unos pocos minutos, se llama Parque Berlín.
Seguimos nuestro camino y llegamos por fin al Estadio Bernabéu.

The tour of the place is called Tour Bernabeu. They have their tour activities every 30 minutes, starting from 9 (9 HRS) in the morning and ending until 4 in the afternoon (16 HRS), the tickets can be purchased from the stadium box office, you can buy them online or in some of the little shops around the stadium that sell them too; the cost of the classic ticket is 15 £, there are several ads that if you buy them online you can save a little money, but currently it is not so, the price is the same online as at the box office.

The old tour included: panoramic view of the stadium, entrance to the museum, photo montages with players (you can do the montage, but you have to pay extra to take the photo), access to the Santiago Bernabeu XXI Century model, tour around the perimeter of the pitch, VIP box, visit to the dressing room, players tunnel, access to the press room, the tour ends at the official Real Madrid store.
I say that this is the old tour because right now the stadium is being remodeled and repowered, so you can ONLY do the panoramic view of the stadium, entrance to the museum, photomontages with players and visit the official store.

You should know that the tour is not guided, in the page you get that there is a guide that explains step by step what you are seeing and telling interesting situations, but this is not currently working like this, you are only paying for the limited access to these places, there is not a defined number of people for the entrance, neither for the time of enjoyment in the facilities, you just enter and leave when you want.
Spain still maintains its COVID-19 measures in force, therefore, you must use the mouthpiece throughout the tour, alcohol and gels are also available in almost all places.

The renovations to the stadium are being done to make it a better venue for the best club in the world, it looks like a promising place, although to be honest, I think it was already a wonderful place, and didn't need any renovations. However, in sports clubs, especially soccer clubs, there have been natural competitions for many years that are aimed at increasing the number of customers, thus expanding the catalog of services and products offered. The amount of money being spent on these renovations is almost 800 million euros.

At the beginning of the Bernabeu Tour you get a kind of metallic structures lined with white POP fabric that guides you to the security control and protocol to enter the place, it is located in tower C (entrance), where once you pass the security controls you must climb two levels in escalators, and then you enter the place where the walls have the information of the amount of materials that are being used for the renovations.

El recorrido por el lugar se llama Tour Bernabeu. Tienen sus actividades de tours cada 30 minutos, empezando desde las 9 (9 HRS) de la mañana y terminando hasta las 4 de la tarde (16 HRS), las boletas o las entradas puedes comprarlas desde la taquilla del estadio, puedes comprarlos por internet o en algunas de las tienditas en los alrededores del estadio que las venden también; el costo de la entrada clásica está en 15 £, hay varios anuncios que si las compras por Internet puedes ahorrarte un poco de dinero, pero actualmente no es así, el precio es igual por Internet que por taquilla.

El recorrido antiguo incluía: vista panorámica del estadio, entrada al museo, fotomontajes con jugadores (puedes hacer el montaje, pero tienes que pagar adicional para llevarte la foto), acceso a la maqueta Santiago Bernabeu Siglo XXI, recorrido por el perímetro del terreno de juego, palco de honor, visita al vestuario, túnel de jugadores, acceso a la sala de prensa, el recorrido termina en la tienda oficial del Real Madrid.
Digo que este es el recorrido antiguo porque ahora mismo se está remodelando y repotenciando el estadio, por lo cual SOLAMENTE puedes hacer la vista panorámica del estadio, entrada al museo, fotomontajes con jugadores y visita a la tienda oficial.
Debes saber que el tour no es guiado, en la página consigues que hay un guía que va explicando paso a paso lo que estás viendo y contando situaciones interesantes, pero esto no está funcionando actualmente así, tu solo estas pagando por el acceso limitado a estos lugares, tampoco hay un número de personas definido para la entrada, tampoco para el tiempo de disfrute en las instalaciones, tu solo entras y sales cuando desees.
España aún mantiene vigentes sus medidas para el COVID-19, por tanto, debes usar el tapaboca en todo el recorrido, también hay disponibilidad de alcohol y geles en casi todos los lugares.

Las remodelaciones al estadio se están haciendo para convertirlo en un mejor espacio para el mejor club del mundo, parece un lugar prometedor, aunque para ser sincera, yo creo que ya era un lugar maravilloso, y que no necesitaba ninguna remodelación. Sin embargo en los clubes deportivos, especialmente de fútbol se han manifestado desde hace muchos años competencias naturales que están dirigidas a incrementar la cantidad de clientes, ampliando de esta forma el catálogo de servicios y productos ofertados. La cantidad de dinero que se está empleando para estas remodelaciones son casi 800 millones de euros.
Al inicio del Tour Bernabeu consigues una especies de estructuras metálicas forradas con tela POP blanca que te guía hacia el control de seguridad y protocolar para entrar al lugar, está ubicada en la torre C (entrada), donde una vez pases los controles de seguridad deberás subir dos niveles en escaleras mecánicas, y ya después entras al lugar donde las paredes tienen la información de la cantidad de materiales que se están utilizando para las remodelaciones.

In this same entrance there is a digital screen on the wall that shows you how many people in the world are tweeting something related to the Madrid passion, or to the Tour itself. Immediately your welcome to the place is an amazing panoramic view with access to the stadium seats, WOW! but what a thrill I felt being here, for me it is a dream come true to have the opportunity to appreciate this view, and I would have preferred to do it while watching a soccer game. Being able to enjoy this adventure for me was perfect.

En esta misma entrada hay una pantalla digital en la pared que te enseña cuántas personas en el mundo están twitteando algo relacionado con la pasión madridista, o con el mismísimo Tour. Inmediatamente tu bienvenida al lugar es una vista panorámica asombrosa con acceso a los asientos del estadio, ¡WOW! pero qué emoción sentí al estar aquí, para mí es un sueño hecho tener la oportunidad de apreciar esta vista, y hubiera preferido hacerlo mientras veiamos un juego de fútbol. El hecho de poder disfrutar de esta aventura para mí era perfecto.

After taking some pictures with the stadium in the background, we continue our tour which includes taking a professional picture with the Champions Cup, we are not Real Madrid fans, so we did not end up buying the souvenir 🤣.
You find with the history of the club, the trophy room, recognition and some of the publicity Real Madrid has received.

Después de tomar algunas fotos con el estadio de fondo, continuamos nuestro recorrido que incluye tomarse una foto profesional con la copa de la Champions, nosotros no somos fanáticos del Real Madrid, así que no terminamos comprando el recuerdo 🤣.
En seguida encuentras con la historia del club, la sala de trofeos, reconocimiento y parte de la publicidad que ha recibido el Real Madrid.

There is a lot of technology invested in this "sports museum". Something that surprised me immensely are the huge touch screens where you can consult the history of the club from its beginnings, leagues, tournaments, players who have been for seasons, photos gathered in a virtual library that allows you to interact with the content, very interesting, I had never seen anything like it, maybe I should visit more museums 🙈.

Hay mucha tecnología invertido en este "museo deportivo". Algo que me sorprendió inmensamente son las enormes pantallas táctiles donde puedes consultar la historia del club desde sus inicios, las ligas, los torneos, los jugadores que han estado por temporadas, fotos reunidas en una biblioteca virtual que te permite interactuar con el contenido, muy interesante, nunca había visto nada parecido, tal vez deba visitar más museos 🙈.

I must also add that the details and elements are very well thought out, the narrations used, the songs, the dim lights, the images that transmit full of passion, this integration generates nostalgia, I who am a sports lover felt that something moved my fibers, although I think that my favorite club would be. Real Madrid, I would have cried for sure.

También debo agregar que los detalles y elementos están muy bien pensandos, las narraciones que usan, las canciones, las luces tenues, las imágenes que transmiten llenas de pasión, está integración genera nostalgia, yo que soy amante de los deportes sentí que algo me movía las fibras, aunque creo que sí club predilecto fuera. Real Madrid, seguro hubiera llorado.

Before finishing the tour they offer you a "fan membership" that goes from 10€ to 30€, they give you a Real Madrid credential.

Of course at the end of the tour you end up at the official Real Madrid store, in partnership with Adidas, where you can print the photo montages they offer you with the tour and you can choose to buy from a variety of souvenirs, ranging from caps, t-shirts, pencils, bracelets, watches, balls, shoes, puzzles, and a lot more.

Antes de terminar el tour te ofrecen una "membresía de fanático" que va desde 10€ hasta 30€, te dan una credencial del real Madrid
Por supuesto al final del recorrido terminas en la tienda oficial del Real Madrid, en alianza con la Adidas, donde puedes imprimir los fotomontajes que te ofrecen con el tour y puedes elegir comprar entre una gran variedad de souvenirs, que van desde gorras, franelas, lápices, pulseras, relojes, balones, zapatos, rompecabezas, y otro montón más.

I think it would be smart to add a women's soccer section, and also to distribute the attention among the great soccer players who have led the Club to great distinctions. Women's soccer has had an excellent performance in Europe and part of the History has been written in Spain.

Creo que sería inteligente agregar una sección del fútbol femenino, y también distribuir la atención entre los grandes jugadores de fútbol que han llevado al Club a grandes distinciones. El fútbol femenino ha tenido un excelente desempeño en Europa y parte de la historia se ha escrito en España.
Gracias a mi novio por permitirme vivir esta emoción 💜.

PD: Lamento por haber estado ausente de aquí por algunos días, estuva regresando a mi País caribeño y disfrutando al máximo con mi novio los últimos días.
