Hola a todos. Mi nombre es Ana Rico, soy venezolana, tengo 30 años, y vine aquí porque mi amiga Antonieta Garcia @lunaticanto me habló de Hive, me comentó que podría escribir y publicar sobre los temas que me gustan en una plataforma descentralizada.

Hi everybody. My name is Ana Rico. I’m venezuelan, I’m 30 years old, I came here because my friend Antonieta Garcia @lunaticanto told me about Hive, she said that I could write and post about the topics I like on this platform.

Me encanta leer la opinión de otros y generar un intercambio que pueda alimentar mi mente. No estoy aquí para ser dueña absoluta de ninguna verdad, así que les pido comenten, critiquen, rectifiquen, sugieran, ahí es donde tendremos mejor entendimiento. Me gusta escribir, poesía, filosofía, la literatura y la historia me apasiona, estoy fascinada con los viajes, pero sobre todo disfruto crecer. Tengo un lema que me acompaña desde hace algunos años: “lo único constante en la vida es el cambio”, muestra de ello es mi propio destino, el rumbo hacia diferentes lugares, personas y situaciones que me han hecho lo que soy hoy.

I have a slogan that has been with me for some years: "the only constant in life is change", proof of this is my own destiny, the course towards different places, people and situations that have made me what I am today.
I love reading other's opinions and generating an exchange that can feed my mind. I’m not here to be the owner of any truth, so I would like you to comment, criticize, rectify, suggest, that is the best way to understand anything. I like to write, poetry, philosophy, literature and history. I am fascinated with travels, but above all I enjoy growing up.

Describirme es tan difícil, que prefiero decirles que hago. Estoy terminando mi carrera como Economista en la Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV), mis habilidades fueron las matemáticas (1, 2, 3, 4 y financiera), estadísticas (1 y 2), econometría (1 y 2). Mi experiencia laboral representa ocupaciones en importantes Instituciones Financieras del País: Banco de Venezuela, Banco Exterior, BancoEx (Banco del Comercio Exterior).

Durante dos años fui bombero voluntario de mí misma Universidad, gracias a esto ahora estoy capacitada para reaccionar con calma ante situaciones de emergencia, Atención Pre-Hospitalaria, Rescate, Incendios, incluso aprendí a nadar. Durante mi servicio aprendí que el que no vive para servir, no sirve para vivir. Dedicaré un poco de tiempo a escribirles sobre el voluntariado en una Institución bomberil en Venezuela, y también de lo que me dejó esta experiencia para la vida.

Describing myself is so difficult, I prefer to tell you what I do.
I am finishing my career as an Economist at the Central University of Venezuela. My skills were mathematics (1, 2, 3, 4 and financial), statistics (1 and 2), econometrics (1 and 2). My work experience represents occupations in important Financial Institutions of the Country: Banco de Venezuela, Banco Exterior, BancoEx (Banco del Comercio Exterior).
For two years I was a volunteer firefighter at UCV, thanks to this I am now able to react calmly to emergency situations, Pre-Hospital Care, Rescue, Fires, I even learned to swim. During my service I learned that he who does not live to serve, does not serve to live. I will spend a little time writing to you about volunteering in a firefighting institution in Venezuela, and also about what this experience left me for life.

Me encantan los deportes, soy fanática y también practicante de algunas disciplinas, actualmente estoy enganchada con el Ultimate Frisbee, atleta desde hace 10 años, tengo aproximadamente 6 años involucrada en aspectos organizativos en el País. He fundado clubes, organizado equipos, creado ligas en los mejores campos de Venezuela, he enseñado a muchos grandes y chicos a lanzar, correr y atrapar. Me desempeño desde hace dos años como profe de esta disciplina en colegios de Caracas, tengo capacitaciones con el Instituto Nacional del Deporte y Coca-Cola Femsa como entrenadora.

I love sports, I am a fan and also practice some disciplines. I am currently hooked with the Ultimate Frisbee, athlete for 10 years. I’ve approximately 6 years involved in organizational aspects in the Country. I’ve founded clubs, organized teams, created leagues in the best fields of Venezuela, I’ve taught many adults and kids to throw, run and catch. I have been working for two years as a teacher of this discipline in schools in Caracas, I have training with the National Institute of Sport and Coca-Cola Femsa as a coach.

Antes del Ultimate, estaba muyyyy involucrada con el fútbol, específicamente en categorías infantiles, tengo paciencia infinita para trabajar con los chiquitos. Amo la actividad física, correr, andar en bicicleta, ir al gym, montañismo, nadar, jugar tenis, basquet, yoga, stretching, calistenia, y pare usted de contar.

Before Ultimate, I was veryyyy involved with football, specifically in children's categories, I have infinite patience to work with kids.
I love physical activity, running, biking, gym, mountaineering, swimming, playing tennis, basketball, yoga, stretching, calisthenics, and others.

Estoy comprometida con mejorar hábitos de reciclaje en mi País, estoy trabajando en lo más difícil de esta transición: la educación. Ofrezco capacitaciones sobre economía circular, clasificación de desechos y hago los enlaces necesarios entre las empresas y las comunidades para que estos últimos puedan obtener beneficios por la mejora de sus hábitos de vida. Tengo una página de Instagram donde publico información educativa y también sobre algunas actividades que organizo: jornadas de reciclaje, limpiezas en playas, capacitaciones, entre otras.

I am committed to improving recycling habits in my country, I am working on the most difficult part of this transition: education. I offer formations about circular economy, waste classification and make the necessary links between companies and communities so that the latter can obtain benefits by improving their life habits. I have an Instagram page where I publish educational information and also about some activities I organize: recycling days, beach cleanings, trainings, among others.

Una de mis pasiones es la siembra, he trabajado en algunos proyectos que me hacen sentir muy orgullosa. He construido algunos jardines, en tierra, en macetas, en balcones, siempre ayudando a optimizar los espacios, me encantan las plantas productivas, mi elección por lo general son este tipo de plantas. Me considero especialista en tomates y fresas, y es que he tenido que aprender mucho sobre estos dos para lidiar con las plagas y poder tener frutos de calidad.

One of my passions is planting. I have worked on some projects that make me feel very proud. I have built some gardens, on land, in pots, on balconies, always helping to optimize spaces, I love productive plants, my choice is usually this type of plants. I consider myself a specialist in tomatoes and strawberries, and I have had to learn a lot about these two to deal with pests and be able to have quality fruits.

El año pasado me fijé metas poco realistas de aprender inglés en 6 meses, descargué un monton de apps para el celular, y les voy a decir que esta meta obviamente fracasó porque no aprendí inglés, pero de todo esto quedó la experiencia de conocer a un hombre maravilloso, un noruego llamado Jan que me trajo hasta su casa a pasar momentos increíbles. En otro post les echaré todo el cuento porque sí que es una historia de amor, al menos para mi, y me encantaría escribir sobre ello.

Last year I set myself unrealistic goals of learning English in 6 months, I downloaded a lot of apps for the cell phone, and I will tell you that this goal obviously failed because I did not learn English, but from all this was the experience of meeting a wonderful man, a Norwegian, his name is Jan who brought me to his house to spend some incredibles moments. In another post I will throw out the whole story because it is a love story, at least for me, and I would love to write about it.

Aún sigue vigente la meta de mejorar mi inglés, tengo una comprensión 3/10 y una conversación 1/10.
