A Sport Festival.

Today was so much fun as I witnessed my nephew's inter-house sports day.

Since he was in Red House, I decided to show my support by making the skirt for the mascot at the eleventh hour.

It was not much of a big deal for me as I was more than excited to do so.

I headed to the venue on time to ensure I delivered the skirt for the mascot and I volunteered to dress the mascot using a white powder and ribbon.

In the spirit of sportsmanship, I wanted the best team to win the cup, so I extended my support to other houses.
The school inter-house sport is usually a fun moment where different houses in a school compete against each other.

The sports for the day include race, high jump, long jump, cycling, relay race, short-put and so many sports.

This is an avenue for all pupils and students to appreciate sporting activities and the benefits of sports to our overall well-being.

I promised to cover the event with my phone for my nephew so that when he is less busy he can rewatch the programme at his leisure.

The programme began with a march past which enabled the children to show off their marching patterns and creativity.

Each house had a commander, banner, cheerleader and soldiers and it was so fun to watch but only the green and red houses had mascots.

My nephew was selected for the Relay race for senior boys, Although I got distracted at the time of the race I couldn't take a picture of him.

They also have kings and queens and each king and queen looks gorgeous and elegant.

The Red House came up with much creativity as they used the red carpet for their king and queen.

The March pattern was also interesting as they showed off their pattern, they did the gunshot position and other positions I could remember.

The blue house came out to wow us as their king was the unique king in the competition.

His outfit was out of this world and he walked in with so much aura.

The commander of the blue house was so confident and I enjoyed their march past the most.

Then comes the yellow house, they looked beautiful too and their March past was interesting as well.

Their cheerleader was so beautiful as well and they danced around cheering their team.

Then the greenhouse came with energy, they had a soldier who was their commander and I loved their march past as well, they did the fall like an iroko tree pattern and they did fireworks.

The whole event was so beautiful to watch, as were the staff race, parent race, sack race, fill in the bottle, slippers race, high jump, and so many other sports.

They did the tennis, javelin and long jump at the heat of the event and added their points to the final event for today.

Like I wrote yesterday, my weekend was so fulfilling, I laughed so much and cheered everyone and then I danced and ate.

At the end of the competition, the Yellow House came first overall. and the whole field was filled with jubilation.

The Red Housame 2nd as well as it all jubilation too.

I developed a higher love for the sport after the event and I am glad I attended the sport festival for the year.
