Losing That Lead
Arsenal was losing an early lead in the match against Southampton last night. They were controlling the game in the first half, and with a goal lead, the game seems to be at the hand of Arsenal.
But in football or soccer, there is no real lead before the referee blows the whistle to end the match. And that case was what happened to Arsenal last night at St Mary's Stadium, the lead was lost and the three points were taken away in the second half by the home team.
Both teams have to share a point each after the game ended in 1-1 draws. The home team equalized in the 65th minute, and the early Arsenal game with a goal from Xhaxa in the 11th minute was blown away.
The result makes the points difference between Arsenal and Manchester City down to two points only, so the coming games will mean a lot for both Arsenal and Manchester City.
Now it depends on Arteta to rotate the squad for the coming midweek Europa League and also the weekend Premiere League if he still wants to stay in the champion's contender corridor.
