Alexandre Feliz and Zack Goulet Extreme Freestyle and Freestyle without shoes in Dona Marta Mountain
Yesterday, Me and Zack Goulet known as @web-gnar headed up to Dona Marta mountain to enjoy the iconic views of Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf, the two most famous postcards of Rio de Janeiro. Believe it or not, it was @web-gnar ’s first time there!
When we got to the top, I showed him the legendary Dona Marta helipad, a classic skateboard spot in Rio. That’s when it hit us: 'Dang, we forgot our skateboards... and we’re in flip-flops!' But I said hey, no worries, I have one of my skateboards in the trunk, so I ran back to the car and grabbed it. Just like that, our skate session was on.
@web-gnar threw down some crazy footwork and pulled off a bunch of cool tricks. We were both a bit hesitant to go all-in though, skating in flip-flops is just asking for a stubbed toe or worse. Still, the stoke was real, and I asked him if he wanted to try a little Extreme Freestyle. He was down.
We made our way to a secret spot near the lookout and tested out a few moves. Honestly, doing Extreme Freestyle on loose dirt in flip-flops was not the best idea. but hey, each of us landed at least one trick. @web-gnar even said that next time he’s in Rio, he wants to go full-send on Extreme Freestyle, hitting all kinds of wild terrain around the city, maybe even doing some rope skate climbing up the mountain walls.
Enjoy here now the video of our adventure!!!
