My Actifict report:August 06 2024 - My day/Mi día

Today I got up at approximately 9:00AM because today I am going to go with my mom and some friends to the holy Cristo de la grita, of course walking from La Fria.

Caminata en honor al Santo Cristo de la Grita

En el día de hoy me levanté aproximadamente a las 9:00AM ya que en el día de hoy voy a ir junto con mi mamá y algunos amigos al santo Cristo de la grita ,por supuesto caminado desde la Fria

We agreed with the people with whom we were going to go that we were going to leave the Bolivar square at 1:30PM, I got everything ready and went out with my mom to the square but they had already left so we met on the way.

Quedamos junto a las personas con las cuales íbamos a ir de que íbamos a salir del la plaza Bolívar a las 1:30PM,aliste todo y salí junto con mi mamá hacia la plaza pero ellos ya avían salido entonces nos encontramos en el camino

The people who walk to the sanctuary of the Holy Christ of La Grita go for various reasons such as to thank God for life, health and for some other circumstance, there are also some people who make promises and to fulfill them they have to walk to the sanctuary of the Holy Christ of La Grita.

Las personas que van caminando al santuario del santo Cristo de la grita van por varios motivos como lo pueden ser por dar Gracias a Dios por la vida ,salud y por alguna otra circunstancia,también hay unas personas que hacen promesas y para cumplirlas tienen que ir caminando al santuario del santo Cristo de la grita

There are also people who come from all parts of the state of Tachira as can be: Colon, San Cristobal, Rubio, Michelena, among other parts of the state, there were also people from other nearby states such as Merida and the north of Santander in Colombia.

También hay personas que vienen de todas partes del estado Tachira como lo pueden ser :colon ,San Cristóbal,Rubio ,Michelena ,entre otras partes del estado ,también iban personas de otros estados cercanos como lo pueden ser Mérida y el norte de Santander de Colombia

We left at 1:30 with my friends and my mom and we walked for about 59 minutes until we arrived at mesa grande which is a small village near la Fria, then we continued walking to las mesas which is a small town a little further away from la Fria.

Salimos a las 1:30 junto a mis amigos y mi mamá y caminamos bastante aproximadamente unos 59 minutos hasta que llegamos a mesa grande el cual es una pequeña aldea cercana a la Fria ,luego seguimos caminando hasta las mesas el cual es un pueblo pequeño un poco más alejado de la fría

Once in Las mesas we went into the house of the grandmother of one of the girls who was with us, there we spent about 40 minutes resting because we had already been several kilometers away.

Ya una vez en las mesas entramos en la casa de la abuela de una de las muchachas que iba con nosotros ,Allí duramos aproximadamente unos 40 minutos descansando ya que ya llevábamos varios kilómetros de trayecto

We left at 4:00PM from the tables on the way we met many people who were handing out food and water, I personally took a liter of water and I didn't need it because they gave us so much water.

salimos a las 4:00PM de las mesas en el camino nos encontramos muchas personas que repartían comida y agua ,yo en los personal lleve in litro de agua y no lo necesité de tanta agua que nos regalaron

After we left we were walking a lot, at some point along the way one of the guys who was with us started to feel bad because he suffers from asthma and we had to stop a lot.

Luego de que salimos estuvimos caminando bastante ,en algún momento del trayecto un muchacho de los que iba con nosotros se empezó a sentir mal ya que él sufre de asma y teníamos que parar bastante

Then we continued and we ended up separating since we all had different rhythms and also some were more tired than others, after this it started to get dark until the night fell, I decided together with my mom to finish the trip by car because if we continued walking we were going to take a long time and we were not going to get to the serenade of the Holy Christ.

Luego seguimos y nos terminamos separando ya que todos llevábamos ritmos diferentes y también unos estaban más cansados que otro ,luego de esto empezó a oscurecerse hasta que calló la noche ,entices decidí junto con mi mamá terminar el trayecto en auto ya que si seguíamos caminado nos íbamos a tardar bastante y no íbamos a llegar a la serenata del santo Cristo

Just at that moment a friend of my mom Ai passed by and we told her to take us, on the way we went to eat dogs in the Bolivar square of Seboruco, then we went to the sanctuary of the Holy Christ of La Grita, once there we walked to the sanctuary and went inside, after arriving we went to the bathroom since we had been a long time without doing our needs.

Justo en ese momento pasó una amiga de mi mamá Ai que le dijimos que nos llevara ,en el camino fuimos a comer perros en la plaza Bolívar de seboruco ,luego nos dirigimos hacia el santuario del santo Cristo de la grita ,ya una vez allí caminamos hasta el santuario y entramos ,luego de llegar fuimos al baño ya que teníamos bastante tiempos sin hacer nuestras necesidades

Then we went to where my mom's friend was and we stayed there waiting for the serenade to the Holy Christ of La Grita to begin, the serenade started at 12:00AM on August 6th because that day is the birthday of the Holy Christ of La Grita, in the serenade a mariachi was playing and they played several songs and also the birthday.

Luego fuimos donde estaba la amiga de mi mamá y estúdienos allí esperando a que comenzara la serenata al santo Cristo de la grita ,la serenata empiezo a las 12:00AM del 06 de agosto ya que ese días es el cumpleaños del santo Cristo de la grita,en la serenata estuvo tocando un mariachi el cual le tocaron varias canciones y también el cumpleaños

Once the serenade was over, as my mom's friend's daughter was turning 15 years old, the same mariachi that played for the santo Cristo de la grita played some songs and also of course the happy birthday.

Ya una vez terminada la serenata como la hija de la amiga de mi mamá estaba cumpliendo los 15 años los mismos mariachi que le tocaron al santo Cristo de la grita le tocaron algunas piezas y también por supuesta que el cumpleaños feliz

Then we returned to our homes on the way before arriving to Seboruco we stopped to help some friends of my mom's friend because they were stuck and after they left we could not continue on our way because the car did not want to start because the starter was stuck.

Luego nos regresamos a nuestras casas en el camino antes de llegar a seboruco nos paramos a ayudar a unos amigos de la amiga de mi mamá ya que estaban espichados luego de que se fueran no pudimos seguir nuestro camino ya que el auto no quería encender ya que el arranque se quedó pegado

We had to go to look for a rock so that it could start, then we went to the cold, and once there we were left on the avenue and we had to walk about 4 blocks to get to our house, in this journey that is short we took about 20 minutes.

Tocó ir a buscar una roca para que pueda encender ,luego nos fuimos hacia a la fría ,ya una vez allí nos dejaron en la avenida y tuvimos que caminar aproximadamente unas 4 cuadras para poder llagar a nuestra casa ,en este trayecto que es corto nos tardamos aproximadamente unos 20 minutos

Once in our house we took a bath, changed and went to bed to sleep because we were very tired.

Ya una vez en nuestra casa nos bañamos ,nos cambiamos y nos acostamos a dormir ya que estábamos muy cansados
