Cycling around the Garden of Leaders - 24k activity -My Actifit Report Card: May 4 2023

Hello and welcome to yesterday's #actifit activity report¹

Yesterday I went exploring the city of Ness Ziona and Rishon Lezion. I found some parks on the way but the most interesting find was the "Garden of Leaders" in the city of Rishon Lezion. The garden is located in the middle of the city at the divide between the new and the old neighborhoods.

The garden features an open museum dedicated to the seven important leaders in Israel history: Yitzhak Rabin, David Ben Gurion, Menachen Begin, Dr. Theodore Hertzl, Dr. Chaim Weizmann, Zeev Vladimir Jabotinsky and the only woman - Golda Meir. The museum is surrounded by beautiful greenery, walking paths and a big star shaped fountain.

First I enjoyed the greenery by slowly cycling around the garden. Luckily for me in the morning hours the garden was almost empty of people and I could cycle the walking paths without bothering anyone.

In the center of the garden I found the Star of David fountain that leads to the open museum. There is a pool with fountain on each point of the star and it connects with a flame sculpture fountain at the main plaza.

This is the main plaza with seven marble statues of the leaders standing around a flame sculpture fountain. The amphitheater, that I took the photo from, is overlooking the plaza.

It was a very interesting visit, I learned new things about those leaders. A very important museum to remember history in our fast pace times.
