My June Walking and Improvement Ideas / 6月のウォーキングと改善案(My Actifit Report Card: July 2 2024)

I have been away from cycling in the last months but I wanted to ride my bike in June. So it was a month of trying to find a balance between cycling and walking, how to focus on walking pleasant routs, and how to walk comfortably and consistently even in hot weather.

My average step count per day was 8,565, which is less than the 10,000 steps I achieved in April and May, but it was an increase compared to previous years 😊



After walking intensively for about 3 months, I ordered an Oura Ring to monitor my activity more precisely. Oura Ring is a smart ring (a wearable device in the shape of a ring) developed and marketed by Finnish company Oura Health. It monitors sleep, heart rate, body temperature, and activity level 24 hours. I recently received a sizing kit and ordered one. It should arrive tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it.

Although I move around a lot when I'm cooking or gardening, if I don't have my smartphone in my pocket, my step count is surprisingly low. I know the most important thing is to do exercise, not a number but I 'm an @actifit addict ... I'm half joking and half serious 😁

Also, I want to see if my belief that I'm quite healthy and strong is true. I eat well, sleep well, hardly catch a cold so I'm confident but let's see.

When it comes to monitoring my health, although Apple Watch and other watch-type devices are cheaper and have been on the market for quite some time, I never bought one because I inherited a watch that my grandfather gave to my mother and I wear it like a good luck charm. But with rings, they can coexist.

I will use Oura Ring and share more about how it feels on the Hive Blog. It was quite pricey for me, so I have ambitions to make it Actifit profitable ................. which reminds me of my STEPN days a little over 2 years ago 😉

In July, I hope to monitor my activity accurately with the Oura Ring and also enjoy cycling by going berry picking on my bicycle.

6月は自転車にも乗りたくて、サイクリングとウォーキングのバランス、楽しい道を歩く方法、暑い季節にも快適にコンスタントに歩く方法を模索する1ヶ月でした。

1日の平均歩数は8565歩で、4月や5月の1万歩超と比べるとすくないのですが、例年と比べると増えてはいて、よくがんばりましたという感じです😊



3ヶ月ほど集中的に歩いてみて、スマートフォンでは正確に歩数を測りきれないのを改善するべく、健康のモニタリングも兼ねてOura Ringを注文しました。以前、友人から話を聞いて気になっていたのです。

Oura Ringは、フィンランドの会社Oura Healthが開発・販売しているスマートリング(指輪の形をしたウェアラブルデバイス)で、睡眠、心拍数、体温、活動量などを24時間モニタリングしてくれます。先日サイジングキットが届いてサイズを決めて注文しました。明日届くようで楽しみです。

料理やガーデニングの仕事のときには結構動きまわるものの、スマートフォンをポケットに入れていないと、歩数がびっくりするほど少ないんですよね。別に自分で動いたことがわかっていればいいといえばいいのですが、Actifit中毒で・・・というのは半分冗談で半分本当です😁

あと、私は日々よく食べ、よく寝て、ほとんど風邪をひくこともなく、とても健康で丈夫だと思っているのですが、これは本当なのか数値で見てみたいというのもあります。

健康のモニタリングというと、Apple Watchはじめ時計型のデバイスはより安価で、かなり昔から発売されていたものの、私は祖父が母にプレゼントした時計を譲り受けて、お守りのようにつけているので、買うことはありませんでした。でも指輪なら共存できる!と。

しばらく使って、使用感などまたHive Blogで共有したいと思います。結構なお値段だったので、Actifitで元をとりたいななんて野望も・・・なんて書くと、2年ちょっと前の楽しかったSTEPN時代を思い出します 🤑 😉

7月は、Oura Ringで正確に活動量をモニタリングしつつ、自転車でベリー狩りに出かけるなどしてサイクリングも楽しめたらと思います。
