I checked out of my hotel and rented a car to travel to the next town.
As I drove south on the road, I saw more and more mountains and quickly entered an area of rich nature.

This time, instead of staying in a hotel, I wanted to make it a refreshing vacation where I could enjoy the outdoors to the fullest, so I brought our camping gear.
I decided to stay two nights at this campground at the foot of the mountain and enjoy both mountain climbing and camping.
I brought our tent equipment, so I had more luggage, but it was well within the range of the bullet train, and as a result I had a truly memorable vacation.

This is a very new campground that has only been completed for two years.
The owner purchased the land himself, cleared the land, thinned the trees moderately, improved the ground which had poor drainage, introduced a shared fire area, and installed very clean toilets and shower booths.

The weather was clear and sunny almost the entire time I was at the campground that day and for the next two nights and three days, with beautiful fresh greenery and the constant chirping of wild birds.

The owner of this campground was originally on the side of enjoying camping as a leisure activity, so he built this campground to realize what he wished there were facilities like this from the campers' perspective.
Therefore, every detail of the campground has been created with hospitality, and yet it was designed in such a way as not to spoil the natural state of the campground.

It was well maintained to allow the sun to shine in while still providing shade from the trees.
In all, the campground is loosely and gently plotted to accommodate 10 groups of guests.

I arrived at the campground around 1:00 p.m., when a late check-out guest was relaxing with a cup of coffee at the far end of the campground.

The prefectural road is right next to the campground, so I could hear the sound of passing cars, but it didn't bother me that much, and I was more surprised by the loud singing of birds (LOL).

I went out after setting up my tent and purchased some produce from the area and some spare ribs and sausages processed by a butcher at a roadside station located a short distance from the campground.
There was also a convenience store relatively close by where I could buy beer and ice.

The sun was setting and it was getting dark around me as I set up my tent in a site close to the mountains, but the scenery was so beautiful that I couldn't help but admire it, and my heart was so full of excitement that I felt relaxed and carefree, and my chest was so full that it was hard to start eating even though I was starving! I was.

I happened to have some leftover shrimp and avocado sandwiches that I had purchased at the Starbucks where I had stopped for breakfast, so I was really happy, eating my sandwiches and drinking my beer.

It was around 4:30 p.m. and the owner lit lanterns in the place.
This really set the mood, and just spending time looking at them made me feel like I didn't need to eat anything else because the drinks were so good. (Of course I did eat dinner)

The mountains across the street are also beautifully green.
Slowly the sun moves into the western sky and begins to hide behind the mountains.
It is slowly getting darker and darker in the campground, and the exciting time is coming.

In fact, I was the only guest during the three days and two nights I stayed here.
The owner went home around 6:00 p.m., so I was completely alone at night.
I had an incredibly luxurious time in the very quiet mountains.

After dark, I was able to see about 4 fireflies.
The next day, I told the owner about it, and he told me that there is a prefectural road and a creek between this campground and the mountain across the street, and that fireflies can be seen in the creek every year at this time, and that several of them sometimes fly to this campground.
But I have never seen four fireflies at once," he said! He was surprised.
I was lucky.

I ate a few slices of spare ribs and some vegetables heated up, but I was quite tired, and after a few beers, I fell fast asleep.
I woke up early the next day to go mountain climbing, so I took a shower early, got into my sleeping bag, and fell asleep in no time.

It's been about 5 days since I got back from vacation and I'm glad to be able to post some of the fun memories I had. And I am thankful for the beauty of being able to take and post photos and share them so easily, and I really feel like it's a better world now.

リフレッシュ休暇の続きです。
前回の記事はこちらです。

宿泊したホテルをチェックアウトし、レンタカーを借りて隣の街へ移動しました。
道を南へ向けて車を走らせていくとどんどん山が見えてきて、あっという間に自然豊かなエリアに入って行きました。

今回はホテル滞在をするのではなく、思い切りアウトドアを満喫するリフレッシュ休暇にしたかったので、キャンプ装備を持ってきたのです。
山の麓にあるこのキャンプ場に2泊し、山登りとキャンプを両方とも堪能することにしました。
テント装備を持参したので荷物は多くなりましたが、十分新幹線で移動できる範囲でしたし、結果として本当に心に残る休暇を過ごすことができました。

こちらのキャンプ場は、完成してまだ2年しか経っていないとても新しいキャンプ場です。
オーナーが自分でこの土地の購入をし、土地を開墾し、程よく木を間伐し、水捌けの悪かった地面を改良し、共有焚き火スペースを導入し、とても綺麗なトイレとシャワーブースを設置されています。

この日と、これから2泊3日の滞在中、このキャンプ場にいる間はほぼずっと快晴で、新緑もとても美しく、野鳥の囀りが絶え間なく聞こえてきていました。

オーナーは元々ご自身がレジャーとしてキャンプを楽しむ側であったため、キャンパーの目線で「こういう設備があったらいいのにな」ということを実現するように作ったのがこのキャンプ場です。
なので、細部までホスピタリティの行き届いた作りになっていて、それでいて自然な状態を損なわないように工夫がされていました。

木々の木陰も残しつつ、しっかりと太陽の光も差し込むように整備されていました。
全部で10組のお客さんを受け入れ可能になるよう、ゆったりと緩やかに区画されています。

私がキャンプ場に到着したのは13:00頃で、その時はレイトチェックアウトのお客さんが、一番奥でのんびりとコーヒーを飲んでくつろいでおられました。

県道がすぐそばにあるので車の通行音が聞こえてきますが、それほど気になることはなく、それよりも鳥の鳴き声の方が大きくてびっくりするくらいでした(lol)

テントを設営した後外出し、キャンプ場から少し離れたところにある道の駅でこの地域の農産物や、お肉屋さんが加工したスペアリブやソーセージを購入しました。
コンビニエンスストアも比較的近くにあり、ビールや氷を買うこともできました。

だいぶ陽も暮れて黄昏時になり、山に近いサイトにテントを設営した私の周囲はだいぶ暗くなってきましたが、景色が綺麗で見惚れてしまうし、気持ちはうきうきしているのにくつろいでのんびりしているし、胸がいっぱいで、お腹が空いているのになかなか食事を始めることができませんでした。

たまたま朝ごはんに寄ったスターバックスで購入していたえびとアボカドのサンドイッチが残っていたので、私はサンドイッチを食べながらビールを飲んで、本当に幸せでした。

16:30頃になり、オーナーが場内にランタンを点灯してくださいました。
これは本当に雰囲気が良くて、これを見ながら過ごすだけでお酒が美味しくて、もう何も食べなくてもいいような気持ちがしてくるのです。（もちろん夕食は食べました）

向かい側に見える山々も緑が美しいです。
ゆっくりと太陽が西の空へ移動して行き、山の影に隠れ始めました。
キャンプ場内もゆっくりと暗くなってきて、わくわくする時間帯がやってきます。

実は私が宿泊した2泊3日の間、お客さんは私だけでした。
18:00頃にはオーナーは自宅へ帰られるので、夜は完全に私一人きりでした。
とても静かな山の中で、とてつもなく贅沢な時間を過ごすことができました。

暗くなってから、4匹くらいの蛍を見ることができました。
翌日、オーナーにその話をしたところ、このキャンプ場と向かいの山の間には県道と小川があるのですが、その小川では毎年この時期に蛍が見られるそうで、数匹、このキャンプ場へ飛んでくることもあるのだそうです。
でも、これまでに一度に4匹も見たことはないですよ！と驚いていらっしゃいました。
私はラッキーだったようです。

スペアリブ数切れと野菜を温めて食べましたが、結構疲れていたようで、ビールを飲んだら急速に眠気が襲ってきました。
次の日は早めに起床して山登りにいくので、早めにシャワーを浴びて寝袋に入り、あっという間に寝てしまいました。

休暇から戻ってから5日ほど経過しましたが、楽しかった思い出を記事にできて嬉しいです。
そして、こんなに簡単に写真を撮って投稿できたり、共有できることの素晴らしさに感謝していて、本当に良い世の中になったなぁと感じます。
