Cross the stream many times.
There is a small bridge, and you can cross it in a balanced manner.

Although it is simple, it is a stable log bridge.
I am grateful to the people who maintain this kind of mountain trail.

We will follow a solid and easy-to-understand path.


小川を何度も渡ります。
小さな橋が架かっていて、バランスを取りながら渡ります。

簡素な作りですが、安定した丸太の橋です。
こういう登山道の整備をしてくださる方々に感謝の気持ちが湧きます。

しっかりと分かりやすい道を進んでいきます。

Shortly after entering the mountain trail, a gentle uphill continues.
This area was a gentle uphill road that was easy to walk.

It's midwinter now, so there are almost no wild grasses.
In this mountain, you can see flowers of various plants from spring to autumn.

I'm not familiar with mountain plants, so I just look at the flowers and think they're beautiful.
It will be more fun if you can understand the name of the flower and its rarity.


登山道に入ってからまだ間もないうちは、緩い上り坂が続きます。
この辺りは、歩きやすい緩やかな上り道でした。

今は真冬なので、山野草はほぼ全くありません。
春から秋にかけては色々な植物の花が見られるそうです。

私は山の植物に詳しくないので、花を見て「綺麗だな」と思うだけです。
花の名前が分かったり、その珍しさを理解できるともっと楽しそうです。

There were quite a few fern plants.
It looks like this because it's winter now, but it looks like it will grow thicker in summer.

It's fun to ponder the appearance of mountains in different seasons while climbing.
The low mountains are hot and tough to climb in the summer, but spring and autumn may come again.

The scary thing about the low mountains in summer is the appearance of snakes and various types of bees.
There may be situations where it's not enough to stay away.

I don't have the confidence to deal with it, so I avoid the low mountains in the summer.


シダ植物がかなり生えていました。
今は冬だからこんな様子ですが、夏はもっと生い茂ってきそうです。

違う季節の様子に思いを巡らせるのも楽しいものです。
低山は夏登るのは暑くて厳しいですが、春と秋はまた来ても良いかもしれません。

夏の低山が怖いのは、やはりヘビが出たりハチが出たりすることです。
近寄らなければよい、ということではすまない事態もあり得ます。

対処できる自信がないので、夏の低山は避けています。

Many cedar trees stand straight around here.
All are very good.

I'm not an expert, so I can't tell the age of a tree just by looking at it.
Will these cedar trees grow to this size over decades?
Depending on the type of tree, the age of the tree may not be proportional to the thickness of the tree.

Trees have always seen humans climb mountains like this, haven't they?
I feel like I'm being told, "Be careful about your safety."

この辺りはたくさんの杉の木が真っ直ぐに立っています。
どれもとても立派です。

私は専門家ではないので、見ただけで樹齢が分かるわけではありません。
これらの杉の木は、何十年くらいかけてこの大きさになるのでしょうか。
木の種類によっては、樹齢と木の太さは比例しないかもしれません。

木々はこれまでずっと、人間がこうやって山登りをするのを見てきたのですよね。
「安全に気をつけなさいよ」と言われている気がします。

次回に続きます。

来週は約3ヶ月ぶりにキャンプへいきます。
キャンプ場の管理人さんが主催する、ソロキャンパーの集いです。
集まってわいわいとキャンプをするわけではなく、程よく距離を保ちます。
お互いのスタイルを尊重しながらキャンプを楽しみたいと思います。
