Titans vs Bengals Preview - NFL Week 15

Well, the depressing season rolls onward. The Titans felt out of the playoff picture for several weeks now, but now they're officially out of the playoff picture. So yeah, today's game feels incredibly pointless. Ugh.

BUT still, the Bengals have been annoying for many years now, and so it would be nice to somehow upset the Bengals and officially destroy THEIR slim playoff hopes. I know Titans' head coach Brian Callahan would love to beat his old team because, why not?

Let's see if Will Levis can actually play quarterback at a high enough level to actually consider him going forward. Him beating the Texans may be the highlight of his career at this point, but if he can somehow help the Titans snag a win over the annoying Bengals that would help his very minimal 'lore' as Titans QB if that makes sense. In Nashville too, yeah that would be pretty satisfying. The Titans may have had a terrible season, but a win today would just feel good for the sake of winning.

The Bengals in 2024 have a highly efficient offense, but a terrible defense. As bad as the Titans are, they have a solid defense and terrible offense. So let's see how these sort of mismatches play out today. I look forward to watching Tony Pollard run the ball since he's been mostly pretty consistent and fun to watch during this miserable season.

Unfortunately there is not much else to say about this game since well, this season has stunk. Still, as I have mentioned in this post already and several posts prior, but this idea only rings truer since the Titans are totally unable to make the playoffs. I am only getting older, every day. I am fairly young still and everything but, there's still an unknown number of games left that I'll get to see the Titans strap up and play ball. So I am going to enjoy watching two-tone blue try and get a win. I am grateful!

Let the draft position come where it comes. I'd love for the Titans to get Ashton Jeanty somehow. Sure we have Tony Pollard but, it'd be nice to lockdown and even doubledown at the running back position. Just grab an insanely talented player and hope for the best. Analtyics, strengths, yada yada yada. The kid's a tank and perhaps the Titans should not overthink things with how bad the team has been. Maybe get a vet QB, draft a QB deeper in the draft, let Levis, the vet, and the other rookie have a TRUE battle. Hmmm.

But draft talk can wait. Today is December 15th, 2024 and the Bengals are in town. Let's live in the moment and

#TITANUP!!!!
