Titans season finale vs Texans! + Thoughts on some other games around the NFL!!
Well, well, well. This long, nightmarish season is finally coming to an end and I am actually kind of glad. No more embarrassing moments, at least until September LOL. Today's game today feels entirely irrelevant, it's silly that the Titans are bothering putting on the Oilers uniforms today. Ugh. Oh well, the Texans can only feel so good about likely beating the Titans while wearing the uniforms. Everyone knows the Titans stink HA. Absolutely nothing went right this season. The best moment was probably the win against the Texans but, that's pretty much it. Overall though, this team is a hot mess and it's anybody's guess where this team is going to begin rebuilding.
I'm not against Shedeur Sanders as the Titans QB. He'd bring a lot of juice and a lot of fun for the Titans, a team in desperate need of life. I know many people don't see him as that elite of an NFL prospect but, he's definitely not a horrible talent, he's definitely NFL caliber. In addition, I believe when you look at guys like Pat Mahomes, Steph Curry, even toss in the Manning family, there's something to be said for players that come from professional athletic families. These players not only have the advice and guidance they receive from their family who have been through it but, these players seem to have a legacy they want to live up to and/or enhance. ALSO, these players often get a ton of pressure, doubters etc. from society in general. These players get judged probably the most whether it be good bad or ugly. I believe this pressure can push some of these athletes to greatness. Also, from what I can tell just by watching, Shedeur DOES have a really good mentality and competitiveness. He seems tough mentally which would be refreshing to see from a Titans quarterback!
But yeah, the Texans should win today and the Titans should lock in as the second pick in the draft. I almost panicked when I saw the draft list because right now Cleveland owns the top spot, sending the Titans to number three but that's just because Cleveland lost yesterday. Whew. Never thought I'd want the Titans to lose but here we are.
The Texans are locked in to their playoff spot and no matter what happens, their fourth seed will remain intact. That being said there's a decent amount of reasons to assume the Texans will be trying to win. The Texans have lost two straight and while they were against good teams it's still very discouraging because those teams were the Chiefs and Ravens and if you're a Texans fan you'd like to have seen at least one win out of those two to give some optimism. Last week's game to the Ravens was particularly awful since they lost 31-2! I believe they will be trying to find some answers in this game against the Titans. Also, this is a rivalry game in Nashville while the Titans are wearing Oilers uniforms so, yeah the Texans all in all are probably going to try and win.
Today's Titans game is going to be a unique watch LOL.
Some big games around the league!
Despite the Titans depressing situation, I am pretty pumped about the rest of the league from an entertainment perspective. It kinda feels like a little bonus playoff week or something.
Can the Bengals sneak their way into the playoffs? Funny enough I believe it is up to the Chiefs LOL. If the Chiefs win against the Broncos that would be a huge step in favor of the Bengals. I wonder if the Chiefs will want to actually lose this game since the Bengals are hot right now and of course both teams have a history. Carson Wentz is starting for KC so Mahomes can rest, should be interesting. The Jets also have to beat the Dolphins in order for the Bengals to make it though so it will be tough.
The NFC South gets determined today. If the Bucs win it's all theirs, if the Falcons win and the Bucs LOSE, the division goes to the Falcons.
I'm unsure about any other playoff scenarios but....
This Lions-Vikings game is going to be NUTS!!!
Soooooo much on the line in this one!!! Winner gets the NFC North Championship and the TOP NFC SEED which equals a bye week and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Loser gets a wildcard spot as the fifth seed and will have to go on the road with zero bye week. YIKES. What a wild difference. 14 wins as a fifth seed is absolutely diabolical.
BIGGGGGGG!!!!! Feels like an NFL bowl game or something. This may not be a playoff game or Super Bowl, but this still feels really big in it's own unique way. This is actually a legacy builder for everyone involved. Memorable, I hope it's a good game!
