Sixers lost big time last night vs Heat | Raptors visit Wells Fargo Center tonight

After last night the Sixers' season is not only 90 percent complete but their loss officially eliminated them from playoff contention. Something seems very strange about the Sixers only just now getting eliminated from the playoffs while they are also very much in the running to get an extremely high draft pick, if not even the number one pick. In fact the Sixers odds for the top pick via the lottery is a healthy 10.5 percent. This makes the NBA playoffs not seem very hard to accomplish. So weird to me. I love the NBA but I kinda wish they just stuck with the top eight teams in each conference making the playoffs instead of this 'play-in' thing. Maybe this way will grow on me who knows.

Last night's loss was very much a snooze fest. The Sixers were really just outmatched. But their loss plus the Nets winning gave the Sixers some breathing room for these sad reverse standings. So that was nice if you want to call it that LOL.

Tonight marks the Sixers final back to back of the season. I swear, next season all of the Sixers main starters better play because while I get what the franchise is doing, this whole not playing thing and milking the system just feels rather pathetic and painful. I sure hope they don't make this a habit. While odds are the Sixers will get a top six pick, if they don't the Sixers will look really silly. I watch some Sixers YouTube content and they seem a bit too happy about losing, certain that this plan is valid... We shall see.

Yeah, the Raptors will likely win tonight. The Sixers could realistically overtake the Pelicans who are three games worse than the Sixers but yeah, that will take a bit of more 'luck'.

Whatever happens, again, watching the Phillies AND Sixers in one day is a nice privilege. I'm enjoying the moment!
