Ryan Howard 2010 Limited Edition Jumbo Card 1150/2250 - Philadelphia Phillies 1B
It's pretty nostalgic to look back on the Ryan Howard days. The dude is an absolute legend. Years of just clobbering homeruns. Howard was the classic power hitter. But he definitely had his own unique style about him. He had an iconic wide, relaxed stance, that produced his smooth, powerful swing. He swung like he was just at a batting practice, like he didn't have a care in the world. But you could see his power and the force behind his swing. Watching Howard's swing takes me back to my childhood instantly. It's imprinted in my memory. Great times.
Howard played baseball in my hometown of Reading for the Reading Phillies, the Philadelphia Phillies' AA minor league team, and went on KILL IT as a pro. Most epically, he was a huge part of the Phillies winning the World Series in 2008!!
I'm highly confident I watched Howard play in Reading, maybe even in Philly as well. I may have even gotten an autograph from him once upon a time as a youngster. That autograph is long lost I'm afraid.
Howard had an INSANELY elite peak for the Phillies from about 2005-2009 where he was just an absolute problem for MLB pitchers everywhere. I remember nearly every night, especially early on like 05-06, Howard homered or had a big RBI double. He became a star so quickly. It was so cool that a guy from the Phillies farm system was becoming a big power hitting star.
Howard had a somewhat underwhelming second portion of his career if you consider how ridiculously dominant he was for a good four-five year period. He still had a number of good years though even as he aged.
Ryan Howard is simply a Pennsylvania icon. Most of PA I would imagine anyway. I think all respectable baseball fans can appreciate how great Howard was. Using him in video games back in the day was simply cheating.
My big brother got me this jumbo card from a Phillies game he went to. The picture is still in great condition, my phone is simply ancient. I need a better camera one day. Oh well.
I'm super grateful he got me this, and it's so cool that there are only 2,250 of these exact copies in existence. I remember how happy I was then when I got it, and it really makes me just as happy I still own it. I love it! Maybe one day I'll get it autographed.
There's no official like 'brand' for this card. I think it's an official Phillies release or whatnot. Exclusive from the stadium! I think that makes the card way cooler and more unique.
Perfect shot of Howard finishing his swing!
This video created by this Youtuber perfectly describes what every Phillies fan feels. I agree with basically every word. He makes a good point in regard to the fact that Howard has never been linked with any steroid use, which is pretty awesome!! All natural, so his stats should be respected more I believe. GREAT video!!

Howard from the 2008 World Series! BEAST! A shame the announcers were kind of lame. Legendary nonetheless. Those Philly crowds were EPIC!!!
What a trippy video. Over an HOUR of The Big Piece's homer's! Every single one from his career!!! More nostalgia, why not?
Howard on a video game cover back in the day. Insane how time flies.
Ryan Howard and Ryan Howard. PA Legends HAHA! If you notice on the back of the card, Ryan Howard played in Scranton when he was a minor leaguer!
Ryan Howard actually did appear on The Office before!
What an awesome career. I totally believe Howard belongs in the Hall of Fame soon.
A more present day Ryan Howard.
