Phillies win the series opener vs Marlins last night! | Walker on the mound for game two this afternoon

In many ways yesterday's game looked very similar to Thursday's game for the Phillies! The Phillies got their offense rolling early once again and that offensive output allowed the Phils to coast the rest of the game. They absolutely cooked Marlins pitcher Sandy Alcantara scoring six runs in the first two innings, sending him packing. Then, Wheeler just went to work pitching seven innings and striking out 13 batters.

So the past two games the Phillies offense started early, allowing Phillies' starting pitchers to pitch seven full innings. Sanchez and Wheeler combined for 25 strikouts these past two contests. So yeah, talk about deja vu!

Now it's up to Taijuan Walker and the Phils to try and keep this momentum and trend rolling today! Can Walker stack up 14 strikeouts and go eight innings? That would be crazy! No matter what let's make it three straight and continue to get back on track! Harper and Schwarber have been very steady and consistent. Castellanos has neen noticable as well!
