So, I know I've been optimistic about Ranger Suarez but, he may be on a bit of a slow decline lately. He started the year strong, struggled a bit, went on the injured list, came back had a decent outing and now yesterday lasts just four innings allowing four runs. Even more perplexing is the fact that he actually struck out the first FIVE batters he saw. I was really hoping he was on the verge of a historic performance for a minute there! But yeah, maybe Ranger needs to just warm up a bit or something, who knows.

The Phillies were never TOTALLY out of the game yesterday but yeah, Reynaldo Lopez strikes again, he is a solid pitcher, unfortunately for the Phils. Ugh.

Apparently Bryce Harper is slightly banged up but despite that he actually played quite well yesterday going three for four. Wish the Phils could give him some rest but, this NL East race is eerily close unfortunately. Maybe if the Phillies win the next two games, he can get a week off or something. Tough.

It's Zack Wheeler today which is nice. Phils will be seeing the typically solid Max Fried for Atlanta.

This massive series rolls on. The last day of August now, things are getting serious now! High seventies and overcast in Philly. Fall seems to be coming quick, perhaps. Game starts in pretty much an hour and a half.
