Phillies lose in brutal fashion 9-1 to the Nats, critically damaging their chances at #1 NL Seed

The sports don't stop son! NFL, MLB, UFC all at once, NBA around the corner. I am a lucky dude to get to enjoy all of these sports. Hope there's many more years like this in my future, no doubt about it.

As fun as it is to enjoy all of these sports, the Phillies did drop a pretty big one yesterday in D.C. Ranger Suarez frankly pitched TERRIBLE. He gave up four in the first inning and threw what felt like one-hundred pitches. The Phillies let him back out in the second inning, the only reason they did so it seemed was to get him innings in before the playoffs. Suarez promptly gave up two more runs in the second before he was taken out. Hey, he halved what he gave up in the first inning! 😅😐 Not a great look for Suarez right before the playoffs.

The Phillies as a whole seemed quite sloppy too. Baserunning errors for days. Seems that the team is looking forward to getting a few days off and the playoffs? Since the Dodgers won yesterday, the Phillies chances at the top seed are extremely low. The Phillies must win two in a row, while the Dodgers must lose two in a row. I don't see this happening.

Still, this is no time to really be ungrateful. The boys made the playoffs, won the division and have locked up a bye in the playoffs.

Pretty awesome season.

Let's at least win these next two and see what happens I guess. Second to last day of the season. About a week into fall, it's steadily getting chillier. It's the quiet before the October storm essentially!

Wheeler on the mound today. Let's hope he looks crisp before the playoffs. We NEED him to pitch well! Game starts shortly.

GO PHILS!!!
