Phillies lose a marathon of a game in Atlanta | Three game series in St. Louis begins tonight + A.D. Hammer RTTS Part 41
Well last night was an interesting game once again. It feels like the Phillies have been in a ton of crazy games already in this fresh season.
The Phillies were in a close 1-1 contest with the Braves when between the sixth inning and seventh inning the game was delayed nearly three full hours due to a rain storm. I was looking at Atlanta's radar and it was definitely a pretty big storm. Not only that, but the game went into extra innings. Definitely a tiresome ordeal. When play did finally resume the Phillies actually took the lead in the eleventh inning thanks to Johan Rojas drawing a bases loaded walk. But then in the bottom half of the inning for the Braves, Austin Riley and Marcell Ozuna said 'not so fast'. After Riley drove in the tying run, Ozuna hit the walk off two-run shot just a few minutes before 1 A.M.
Just a rough loss that will really humble a team I feel. The Phillies still feel on track and look pretty good, if anything this type of loss may keep them locked in going forward. Alec Bohm has gone practically ice cold for the Phils, while Kyle Schwarber hit his sixth SCHWARBOMB last night.
Tonight Aaron Nola takes the hill in St. Louis. He has been rather rough for awhile now, I'm a bit nervous not going to lie. To be frank I'm not too knowledgeable on the Cards roster so, tonight should be interesting. The Phils bat against Andre Pallante tonight.
Let's see the Phils put yesterday behind them.
