Monday was a super fun game. Citizens Bank Park was treated to a real show in the 2025 home opener! It was suspenseful no doubt, but it led to some serious excitement in the final few innings. The Phillies have not hit starting pitchers well at all thus far and that theme continued Monday. The same cannot be said for relief pitchers though. The Phillies have been COOKING opponents' bullpens. Edmundo Sosa started the party with some clutch hitting late in the game to take the lead after the bats were quiet for ages. Sosa is a beast! What a luxury to have him on the bench, he could surely start on a ton of teams.

Kyle Schwarber added some insurance with a two-run homer, and Max Kepler and Nick Castellanos put the icing on the cake with back to back solo homers. All three of those homers were bombs! Cristopher Sanchez pitched fairly well for the most part.

For personal reasons this post is getting out rather late but, it is what it is.

Wheeler is on the mound for the Phillies as we speak to begin April for the Phils. The Phils will be facing Kyle Freeland. As long as the rain holds off it should be another smooth outing! I'm curious to see if the squad continues to use the highly discussed torpedo bats that seem to give the batters some more pop.

#GOPHILS!
