Phillies get a strong team win yesterday in St. Louis | Series decider today with Wheeler on the mound
The Sixers season may have come to an end, but there are many days on the diamond to look forward to all summer long! Just like I imagined, the Phils bounced back yesterday in a significant way. Just a solid 4-1 victory. Solid pitching, good enough batting sprinkled throughout the lineup. Really a pleasant watch. Five different Phillies recorded one hit, while Castellanos had three hits, two of which were doubles. Nick also had two R.B.I.s along with this awesome moment with a Phils fan in St. Louis. Love to see a cool moment like that thousands of miles from Philly.

The pitching staff shined in a big way of course. Cristopher Sanchez has been pretty steady! The bullpen also did their job well. I love seeing the combo of Jose Alvarado and Orion Kerkering out of the bullpen. The Phils also sprinkled in Jordan Romano who has been a mixed bag thus far but could be smoothing out a bit, time will tell. If Romano can be steadier, than that trio could be a great bullpen to use often. Those four pitchers of course only allowed one run but they also managed to get the Cardinals to ground into FIVE double plays. That's an awesome stat.
The Phillies look to grab the series deciding game and their tenth victory of 2025 in St. Louis today. With Zack Wheeler on the mound I like our chances!! The Phils will be facing Matthew Liberatore for the Cardinals.
Let's go!! Should be a great game. Last Phils-Sixers game played at the same time for awhile.
