New Orleans Saints 2007 Topps 'Postseason Highlights' NFL Football Card

The Saints in the mid-late 2000's were a real treat to watch. Drew Brees completely transformed that franchise and it was great to witness.

Today, eighteen years ago the Saints and Eagles had a great divisional playoff game in New Orleans. As the card says, this win propelled the Saints into uncharted territory as a franchise. This win was also massive for the city since New Orleans was still recovering from Hurricane Katrina.

Deuce McCallister was one of my favorite players as a kid. He had himself a DAY. Him and Reggie Bush were a fun running back tandem.

This was also the game where Reggie Bush got absolutely devastated by Sheldon Brown. I watched this play live, this hit was different. This would get flagged for DAYS these days.

The day the Saints advanced to the NFC Championship eighteen years ago, the number one movie in the US was 'Stomp the Yard'. I may have seen this once a long time ago.
