Many Titans starters expected to play in preseason finale in New Orleans!

Holy crap, meaningful football is almost here. The last preseason game for the Titans takes place in less than two hours! Can't believe how fast the year has flown by.

This Sunday will be a fairly nice day of sports since the Titans play AND the Phillies play at the pretty much the exact same time. These early starts are always fun, gotta get these posts out quicker!

Many Titans starters will be seeing action today and I am glad they are. So many young players, new players and even new coaches need to get as many reps in for this upcoming season that they can. Expectations are always high for an NFL team, but these Titans are mostly completely unknown in terms of how good or bad they're going to be in 2024. So getting live reps in seems pretty wise.

It does not appear that many Saints' starters will be playing, so this does add pressure for the Titans to play well. Can't be looking awful against second stringers!

All eyes are going to be on Will Levis of course. The second year quarterback is an intriguing prospect with some talent but, now is the time to start looking like a franchise guy a bit. He showed some flashes as a rookie but now this year he has been the guy all offseason long. There has been coaching changes no doubt, but Vrabel and now Callahan seem like competent coaches and in 2024 there is a good enough supporting cast to where he needs to show something good.

In general I just hope the team looks at least above average considering it's their last preseason game against and it's against a lot of backups.

Now, the Saints are well coached and second stringers are not always that bad and the Saints are typically good defensively. Not that it will be an excuse if the Titans struggle. But if they do for whatever awful reason, maybe it will be a wakeup call and they will work that much harder until the season opener.

There's been reports that the Titans have struggled on offense at practice and so, this game feels slightly more important than I imagined prior.

There's also a few last spots for fringe players to make the final 53 which is to be finalized on Tuesday! Will the Titans keep three QBs? How many receivers and running backs?

No matter what, seeing the Titans suit up is ALWAYS a good time.

#TITANUP!
