Luka Doncic to the Lakers / Anthony Davis to the Mavericks is wild!!! What a trade!

Ok so wow, this trade feels like an all time jaw dropper in NBA history. Luka Doncic to the Lakers and Anthony Davis to the Mavericks? Huh?

I mean, I'm not even sure what to say. I can't help but feel like this is a horrible trade for the Mavericks. Anthony Davis is not super old, but he will be 32 soon and he's a big man. I guess his injury history is not Joel Embiid level but it's not too excellent and I mean, he's had a lot of seasons under his belt at this point. It's not exactly rocket science or a hot take to say that big men don't exactly age well in terms of injury likelihood.

On the other hand, Luka Doncic is an absolute beast of an NBA player. Easily a top five, possibly top three player. An NBA MVP candidate yearly at this point and he just took the Mavericks to the NBA Finals! I mean, I don't know man, this is just nuts and there's so many things to consider here. Probably things going over my head.

For the Mavericks again, are they really banking on what, Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving? Huh? I just don't understand. If I'm a Mavs fan I am HEATED. Luka helped transform that franchise and he's only 25!! Truly feel bad for Mavs fans.

The only thing I can think of is maybe AD and Kyrie will be a good tandem? But I mean for this trade to make sense, the Mavs better win the Finals bro. Maybe some basketball genius out there can predict something I can't see. I don't see it.

LeBron and Luka might be an insanely effective tandem themselves. We'll just have to wait and see but, either way I definitely believe the Lakers pulled off an excellent trade here.

There's a 2029 first rounder involved and also some other players and whatnot but I don't think that's a huge factor, maybe it could be down the line but I don't have a crystal ball.

Lakers fans should be pumped. I'm unsure what their depth is like in terms of a big man presence to replace AD. I guess Markieff Morris could help grab some rebounds but we'll see. Of course Luka is a decent rebounder.

This trade is like, the biggest trade in American sports in a MINUTE. Wow.

Just a quick rant while it's fresh. A lot to process. Lakers fans must be excited I imagine. LA is a mega market of course and Luka jerseys are going to be flying off shelves all across the planet. Crazy times.
