Julian Erosa and Steven Peterson just beat the crap out of each other!

Man after watching a fight like this one, I just need to show some love. UFC Featherweights Julian Erosa and Steven Peterson just had me on the edge of my seat and my full attention for fifteen minutes. Just a pure battle. A fight that makes me remember why I love the UFC. A fight like that is really pretty inspiring.

This fight was mainly a striking affair. Julian Erosa, the taller lankier featherweight fought athletically. His fight style reminds me of Dan Hooker a little bit.

Steven Peterson was shorter, and slightly stockier then Erosa and came into the octagon equipped with a really educated right hand.

This fight was a dog fight with a nice sprinkle of nuance and better technique than one might assume. Just beautiful.

Erosa and Peterson deserve to have an amazing scrap like this. Both of these guys have been in wars, but this one seems a little more special. Their fight was on the main card of a not SUPER hyped UFC card and they have stolen the show so far!

After tonight's fight, these two MMA veterans have now fought sixty-six times combined professionally.

I believe there is something to be said when two game journeyman get together like these two did tonight. So much experience and so many wins combined, and they both displayed all of that experience in one beautiful UFC fight.

Low-key legendary fights like this add real depth and character to the ever growing sport of MMA. These guys may not be superstars but I believe MMA fighters everywhere can probably learn a few things from this scrap.

This fight was back and fourth, sloppy and technical, a sprinkle of grappling and even the grappling was full of action.

In the end Julian got the win, but this was a fight where I believe it should have been a draw. I know seeing folks get wins is what people wanna see, but man it's also hard to give a fighter an L after a fight like that. Neither fighter really lost this evening.

It's been a somewhat busy week for me and watching this fight was a beautiful escape and stress reliever.

I thank you Juian and Steven for a fight I will never forget.
