Yesterday was pretty excellent for the Phillies! It went pretty much as well as I could have wished for. They handed the Dodgers their first loss of the season! They set the tone early as Trea Turner hit a double that in a roundabout way turned into a home run as he was aggressive on the basepaths. He attempted to steal third, Yamamoto committed an error trying to throw to third and Turner ended up scoring. Turner forced Yamamoto and the Dodgers to play baseball and it rewarded the Phillies! I was pumped! That run proved crucial in the end since the Phils won by just a run.
The game ended in dramatic fashion as well as the Dodgers were attempting a last inning comeback! Two men on only one out in a one run ball game. Romano was struggling big time and almost blew it but as he struck out Muncy, Ohtani tried stealing second but Realmuto throw him out and the game ended on a unique double play just like that!
Realmuto seemingly had a cut on his throwing hand but still managed to throw out the legend Ohtani to end the game! Philly grit baby!
Nola is on the mound as we speak to try and take the series today!
