Indianapolis Colts AT Houston Texans Game Preview! - NFL Week 1
This is a very interesting game for me since I am a Titans fan.
The obvious favorite here would have to be the Colts. This past offseason they picked up seasoned veteran QB Matt Ryan who previously played for the Falcons for the past decade plus. Pretty decent pick up for the Colts. Ryan is aging, but still has a bit left in the tank, and he is a former NFL MVP.
The Colts are not shy about picking up veteran quarterbacks. Since Andrew Luck abruptly retired, it seems the Colts have habitually found a randomly solid quarterback year in and year out. They had Jacoby Brissett, Philip Rivers, Carson Wentz and now Matt Ryan. The question is, will Ryan be able to stick around for more than a season? The guy is 37 years old, so only time will tell I guess. The Colts have seemed convinced that they are 'just a quarterback away' for the past five years now. Maybe there's holes on their roster elsewhere?
For the Texans, the expectations are pretty low. They have a dark horse, maybe underrated type of QB in Davis Mills who nearly upset my Titans in the final game last season. He is entering his second year as a pro and knowing he's the guy all off season long and into week one, that might help him a lot.
I'm not gonna lie though, there are a lot of question marks throughout their roster elsewhere. They have a lot of young unproven talent, pretty much everywhere.
I got the Colts winning this one, 30-13. If the Texans pull this one off, it would be pure entertainment, I would be rolling. I strongly dislike both of these teams. Maybe they will tie HA.
Past Three Colts-Texans Matchups!
Colts have been whipping the Texans lately. Colts are 32-9 all time against the Texans, YIKES.
