Well Monday's game was absolutely thrilling to watch! Games like that make this uneventful season feel a bit more watchable. Quentin Grimes dropped another 46 points! Against a Rockets team definitely trying to win. It is such a treat watching Grimes essentially change his life game after game.

The Sixers absolutely dominated the Rockets in the first half of this game. They were just raining threes at a practically record breaking pace, I believe they had fifteen or sixteen threes in the first half. The NBA record for threes in a game is 29. The Sixers didn't end up tying or breaking the record but it was SUPER entertaining to watch for awhile. They just couldn't miss. Everyone was hitting them on Monday.

The game was all Sixers until the second half. The Sixers essentially lost this game in the third quarter as the Rockets started hitting threes of their own. I can see why the Rockets are where they are in 2024-25. They really are tough, they bring a unique gritty energy to the court.

The Sixers responded well in the fourth for sure, but the Rockets proved to be really composed and unphased by the ups and downs of this wild game. Rockets center Alperen Şengün hit a super clutch putback at the end of regulation that sent the game to overtime, where the Rockets experience and talent proved to be too much in the end for this inexperienced Sixers squad.

I believe 96 percent of the roster payroll for the Sixers was out with injury last night. Truly a team of random players on small two-way and even ten day contracts, but they competed with one of the best teams in the league! I was pumped LOL. Pretty proud of them.

The Sixers competed well but now are off to see a whole different beast out in Oklahoma to face the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder are tied with the Cavs with the best record and have been surging the past few seasons.

Let's see if Grimes can continue this legendary streak!!
