76ers lose a close one vs the T-Wolves Saturday | Sixers down in South Florida to face the Heat tonight
Well for the Sixers, they have been in a handful of close games during this eleven game losing streak and so I guess the front office may be mildly happy about that. They are losing and maintaining their lottery position while at least appearing like they are actually trying to win. Saturday was a good example of this as they indeed were very close to defeating the Timberwolves but Anthony Edwards had an excellent 37 point performance and was particularly clutch late in the fourth quarter. He hit a notably crazy three point shot late in the game with two Sixers right in his face when the Sixers desperately needed a stop. Quentin Grimes attempted to keep the Sixers in it with 28 points of his own, and some clutch moments himself but, ultimately it wasn't enough. Giannis and now Edwards both have cooked the Sixers recently.
Yep, only four more games left in this pitiful Sixers season. The Heat are up next and despite a fairly recent collapse by them, Miami actually does still find themselves having clinched a play-in berth as the tenth seed. The Heat can improve their seeding position though as long as a few other teams in the play-in lose.
Not really much else to report on. I hope all these L's are worth it come lottery time.
