It's really tough watching two of my favorite teams talk about tanking for just about six months now. It has been a BRUTAL fall and winter for me as a sports fan. Whole bunch of losing this 2024-2025 but hopefully the Phillies can get it together here this spring and the Titans and Sixers can turn it around soon enough. It's a marathon at this point.

The Sixers got just destroyed on Monday, and it was really not fun to watch. For the Bulls, Josh Giddey completely torched the Sixers and Kevin Huerter was killing it from three point range. The Sixers were down by fifty at one point in the game before ultimately losing 142-110. Just no defense. No Joel Embiid once again for the Sixers.

I heard somewhere that to start the season the Sixers had the fourth best odds to win the Championship, now a few months later the team is going through losing streaks the franchise hasn't seen in nearly a decade. So yeah, I have been pretty negative recently but all things considered this is just not a fun season.

So yeah I have accepted the Sixers' fate right about now and it's easy to do so after watching the Titans to be fair. But yeah I guess the strategy moving forward should be to just rest whoever claims to be injured, draft the best you can and I suppose just turn the page to next year. I would love to see some storybook season turnaround but that seems very unlikely after Monday's game.

Not much else to report on. Kelly Oubre Jr. is still playing consistently well which is nice. I still like what I see from Quentin Grimes, he has a lot of skill and always shows quality effort on the court. Lonnie Walker IV has been serviceable but maybe a bit underwhelming. Walker is still quite new to the team though of course so he definitely has time to get used to things.

Tonight the 20-37 Sixers face the 37-20 New York Knicks. Opposite records. Man talk about perspective. The Knicks are probably going to destroy the Sixers tonight but hey a miracle would be lovely.

I have heard a lot of surgery talk around Embiid, hope he does what he thinks is best. I also haven't dived too deep on any NBA prospects yet but, for now I'll just enjoy some ball.
