76ers fall short in San Antonio Friday | Sixers head east to take on the Hawks Sunday night
Well the Sixers fell to the Spurs on Friday in a pretty close game. Justin Edwards had an excellent game and he's shown steady improvement. He has a nice knack for scoring, good touch and ability to stop and start with the ball in his hands. Edwards scored 25, as did Grimes once again. Grimes and Edwards were not alone in scoring for once. Yabusele scored 23 and Council IV poured in 20 more which means four total Sixers had at least 20 points Friday despite the loss. Not bad.
This latest loss keeps the Sixers on pace decently in the sort of 'backwards' standings to the bottom. The Sixers still have a respectable shot to get their top six pick. In an unexpected turn of events, the Miami Heat have lost 10 straight games! They still have a ways to go to get on the Sixers' level but they have made their presence known in these sad standings LOL, and the pace they're on is rather eyebrow raising.
Ah yes, 12 games left and the Sixers head over to Atlanta to take on Trae Young and the Hawks. Will be nice to see Trae play since he didn't play in the last Sixers matchup on March 10th. Trae is quite good, if the Hawks are smart they should do their best to not let that man leave until the day he retires.
But yeah, nothing too special going on in the world of the Sixers. Just in Draft mode now. Hope to see more of Lonnie Walker IV. He left with a headache last time out. With just a few games left, will be nice to watch the southeastern PA legend get some more time in as a Sixer.
Feels like spring, baseball around the corner, NFL draft around the corner, NBA playoffs around the corner. Not bad. Nevertheless...
