Hello, Sis! I'm glad I'm moving. I don't want to live with my nephew anymore. It will be calmer, quieter and I want to get a pet bird at some point. 🐦 I'm looking forward to getting out of here. 🌟😄👍
I'm not sure @elizabethbit what the circumference would be Sis. I am not sure the measurement but it is huge! It looks bigger in person that in the picture. It is beautiful! No worries sis! The tree in my front yard was a seedling when Columbus set sail in 1492! The one in the back yard is around the same time, but more likely around 1500 AD! There's a whole mathematical formula for it and I'd have to dig back in some of @actifit-lamb's posts to find it, but it's pretty amazing to figure this kind of thing out.
We used a tape measure, but it took 2 people to wrap it around the trunk.

Oh, Wow, Sis! Do you have a picture with you and hubby in front of the trees - one or the other? I'd love to see them! Wow. That is awesome. I can do one better! here is the link to @actifit-lamb's post I was talking about. The trees we have are in this post with my hubby standing by them. They aren't the best pics as it really doesn't show how absolutely huge they are. When we moved in back in 2000, the one in the front yard towards the ground, measured 17' 1" in circumference. That's not the correct place to measure for dating, but holy cow, were we surprised! They are both very very tall as well!
