Brackets: Thursday July 18 2024

Woosh klink-klank is how Ronald says "Good Morning". When I come out to the trail by the train track with my morning coffee, she'll do a close fly-by and land on that fence to see if I brought her peanut-toll.

She still refuses to take the nuts from my hands, so I'll have to lay them out on the gravel, take two steps back, and give her some space to inspect the day's offerings.

I'd like to say that we're friends, but to be honest, she just trained me well to never leave the house without bringing some peanuts in my pockets.

The weather was excellent today, perfect for a quick afternoon swim in the forest lake.

And like brackets encapsulating my day, the evening walk takes me towards the moon along the train tracks once again.
