Description from Strava: Today was meant to be chill… but then the sun came out. 🌞 A little deceiving as it only let me in on the windy problem at the point I hit Culross... Had to down a Caledonia Best to see me through. Took a few wrong turns that tuned out wrong, and took a few wrong turns that turned out right! How often do you think about the Roman Empire? At least once after reading this post. Couldn’t bypass the Antonine Wall and it’s Rough Castle fort, the most northerly frontier the Romans built 2,000 years ago. Then the Falkirk Wheel - such an impressive feat of engineering. The wind occasionally assisted with gentle pushing on the homebound stretch. But we aren’t friends.
