Surfers at a rocky beach

I'm a surf enthusiast. I can't stay on top of a surfboard, but I love to walk down to the coast and take lots of photos of boys and girls when they surf.

Surf in our island is seasonal, topographically our coasts aren't suitable for periodic and safe-to-surf waves. So, when in "winter", from October to March, all the surfers pay attention to the cold waves that travel from the north pole, cross the north-american continent and then, the Caribbean. When it happens, the first day the waves arriving are terrible, but the second day is always wonderful for surf: nice waves, breaking nicely and with a acceptable rhythm.

There's no danger for shark attacks, that's extremely unlikely on our coasts, the real danger are the rocks on the shore, very pointy and sharp.

I hope you find this photos interesting.
Thanks for the opportunity!

At that time I started with the slowest nikkor 18-300, a 18-400 Tamron after that, much better, with a D7200. Currently I'm using D750 & D850 with the 150-600 Sigma sport (on my profile photo) Thanks for commenting!
