Entramos a las últimas tres jornadas del campeonato. Los dos que están luchando por el título se enfrentarán a equipos que están justo en el meridiano de la tabla: Arsenal recibe al Bournemouth y el Manchester recibe al Wolverhampton. LIVERPOOL vs. TOTTENHAM

LIVERPOOL desde hace días ha dejado de ser candidato al título, y se ha alejado aún más de la cima con el último empate ante el West Ham con marcador de 2-2, con polémica incluída. No se trata del VAR, ni de decisiones arbitrales, ni conflictos entre jugadores: fue entre Klopp y Salah, donde el egipcio le hizo algunos notables desprecios a su entrenador antes de entrar a jugar como sustituto. Los reds siguen de terceros y probablemente terminen allí. En los últimos tres partidos ha conseguido todos los resultados posibles, hablando de la inestabilidad que ha reinado en las últimas fechas. Y ahora, aunado a la salida de su entrenador a final de temporada, ya se empiezan a barajear nombres que pudieran también despedirse del club en la próxima ventana del mercado en verano, y entre los nombres están Salah, Tsimikas y Luís Díaz. Así que los de Merseyside encaran éste duelo en medio de una incertidumbre grande en el vestuario.

TOTTENHAM hace unas horas terminó su duelo frente a su vecino de Londres donde fue vencido por par de goles en Stamford Bridge, a pesar de que tuvo varias ocasiones de poder anotar y no pudo. Con ésta ya son tres derrotas seguidas y, aunque matemáticamente aún tiene oportunidad de meterse en el cuarto puesto, para quien escribe ya no podrá ser así, por lo que deberá conformarse con participar en la Europa League la temporada que viene. Algo que también preocupa en los spurs actualmente es su baja producción. En estos últimos tres han anotado sólo dos goles y permitido siete. A pesar de que se metió en el top 5 desde la mismísima tercera fecha del torneo y no ha salido de allí hasta ahora, su falta de consistencia le ha impedido meterse en el cuadro de honor y terminar de convencer de que están para pelear algo grande en Inglaterra.

En la jornada 7 los spurs pudieron ganar en casa. Sin embargo, ahora que visitan Anfield, sólo han podido ganar 6 veces en los 80 partidos que han disputado allí.

CHELSEA vs. WEST HAM

CHELSEA con la más reciente victoria ante el Tottenham no solo rompió su mala racha de dos partidos sin ganar, sino que también alcanzó su más alta posición en el torneo: 8° lugar. Increíble para un equipo de éste nombre. Ahora, se consideraría un gran éxito que lograran escalar un puesto más en la tabla y meterse en la UEFA Conference League. Eso implicaría que resbale el Newcastle, cediendo su lugar. Y si al mismo tiempo resbala el Manchester United, los blues podrían meterse en la Europa League, que por cierto ya han ganado. Eso sí: ambos escenarios implican que ganen todos sus partidos que le quedan. Independientemente de que lo logren o no, quien no estará en esas competiciones es Thiago Silva, quien decidió poner fin a la relación que lo une con el equipo de Londres al terminar ésta temporada. Chelsea se aferra a defender con éxito su estadio en lo que queda de temporada, ahora que tiene más de un 50% de victorias allí (9 victorias, 4 empates y 4 derrotas). ¿Podrá hacerlo frente a otro rival de Londres?

WEST HAM es el noveno equipo en el orden clasificatorio, gracias al empate que logró frente al Liverpool, rompiendo su mala racha de dos derrotas seguidas. Igual, es una estadística muy mala para las aspiraciones del club de permanecer en competiciones europeas, ya que es apenas un punto ganado de los nueve jugados. Además, en ese lapso de tiempo ha anotado cuatro veces y permitido nueve goles en contra. Y el panorama no está muy favorable ahora que jugará de visitante, porque acumula en ésta campaña un 41% de victorias y 47% de derrotas en ésta condición. Llama la atención que Paquetá es un hombre que ha ayudado mucho al club y es uno de los nombres que suenan que podrían salir en el próximo mercado de verano. De seguro David Moyes estará pensando en cómo pulir al equipo la próxima temporada. Pero antes, deberá encarar éste nuevo derby de Londres.

En Stamford Bridge hay una destacada diferencia entre ambos equipos, puesto que el Chelsea tiene un 54% de victorias en su historial, mientras que los hammers tienen un 23%.

BRIGHTON vs. ASTON VILLA

BRIGHTON ya ha conseguido su boleto para la Premier League 2024/25, a pesar de haber perdido en su último encuentro frente al Bournemouth 3-0. Cayó a la posición 12 de la tabla y es la más baja que ha tenido en ésta campaña. Sigue preocupando la baja productividad que han tenido de cara al gol. En los últimos 6 partidos han quedado cuatro veces sin anotar gol. Más bien, han anotado solo dos y permitido 13. En ese lapso de tiempo no han ganado, sino que han perdido cuatro veces. Para colmo de males, siguen apareciendo novias para Roberto de Zerbi, y la última viene de su país natal, Italia, nada menos que el AC Milan, quien busca mejorar la presentación hecha ésta temporada el la Serie A. Las gaviotas han sido un muy buen equipo, pero parece que le vendrá bien el final de temporada para descansar, programar, hacer algunos fichajes interesantes y volver con nuevos ánimos en agosto.

ASTON VILLA logró sostener agónicamente un empate ante el Chelsea por marcador de 2-2. Con la reciente derrota de los spurs, está más cerca de lograr su presencia en al próxima edición de la UEFA Champions League. Aún si el Tottenham gana su partido pendiente, tendrían que ganar todos los demás partidos y los villanos resbalar dos en dos de los tres partidos que le quedan para que puedan sacarlo de la Champions. No ha perdido en los últimos 4 encuentros, marcando diez goles y permitiendo seis. Pero, ¿qué podría jugar en su contra? Tal vez el cansancio en ésta etapa. Acaba de perder estrepitosamente en su estadio frente al Olympiakos en la Conference League, dando señales de éste posible elemento. Ya veremos si el Dibu Martínez podrá estar presente en éste duelo de Premier, debido a seguir presentando molestias físicas.

Las gaviotas se han mostrado incómodas al recibir a los villanos, en vista de que han podido ganar sólo una vez en las ocho veces que se han enfrentado en el Amex stadium. De hecho, en la jornada 7 de ésta campaña el Aston Villa ganó al Brighton 6-1. Será intersante ver qué pasa ésta vez.

EL JUGADOR

LEANDRO TROSSARDha sido titular en los últimos cuatro encuentros del Arsenal, anotando en par de veces, alcanzando 10 en toda la temporada. Esta continuidad muestra la confianza que le está otorgando el entrenador español, y debe seguir correspondiéndole con goles y asistencias. Ahora más que nunca lo necesitan fino porque los gunners no tienen margen de error si quieren ganar ésta liga, haciendo todo lo que les queda, rogando por un resbalón de los ciudadanos que los haga ceder la pequeña diferencia que los separa. El belga sigue presente en la delantera, y deberá ayudar a que eso se traduzca en goles.
